Ito ay handog ng City Government of Sorsogon sa pangunguna ni Hon. Mayor Ester E. Hamor, para sa kabataan sa pamamagitan ng City Youth Development Office (CYDO), BAPAS, katuwang ang SK Federation at ang tanggapan ni Hon. Eugene Matthew D. Lopez.

PAUNAWA: Ang lahat ng kalahok ay opisyal na na-coordinate sa pamamagitan ng kani-kanilang SK Chairperson at magsisilbing kinatawan ng kanilang barangay sa patimpalak. Ang lahat ng kalahok ay inaasahang susunod sa mga alituntunin at safety protocols ng aktibidad.

𝗦𝗞 𝗙𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗴𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗩𝗢𝗜𝗖𝗘-𝗗𝗥𝗥 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻

On June 21, 2026, the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation of Sorsogon City successfully conducted its 6th Regular Session and Project VOICE-DRR Session at the SP Session Hall, Sorsogon City Hall.

The activity commenced with a learning session facilitated by Mr. Leonard Lacdang of Sorsogon State University, one of the proponents of Project VOICE. During the seminar, he highlighted the vital role of the youth as active Disaster Risk Reduction frontliners and emphasized the importance of youth participation in building resilient communities.

Following the seminar, the Federation proceeded with its 6th Regular Session presided over by Hon. Eugene Matthew D. Lopez. Key matters discussed during the session included updates on the 2026 SK Budget, SK Turnover procedure (BSKPFRDs), DILG Full Disclosure Online Report, updates on the SK Council List, resigned members, and the submission of First Quarter Accomplishment Reports.

The Federation also tackled preparations for the Linggo ng Kabataan (LNK), which is tentatively scheduled for August 2026, as well as the upcoming Amazing Race activity set to take place on June 27, 2026.

The Federation also acknowledged the presence of Councilor Mark Jayson Jamisola, Chairman of the Committee on Health, who encouraged the youth leaders to actively participate in the Mental Check-Up Program conducted on the same day and venue. He emphasized the importance of prioritizing mental health and well-being among the youth as part of building a healthy and resilient community.

The session served as a platform for collaboration, accountability, and strengthened commitment among SK leaders in advancing youth development and community engagement across Sorsogon City.

"Good governance thrives where young leaders gather with purpose."

The 5th SK Federation Regular Session held last May 17, 2026 at 9:00 AM in the Sorsogon State University Dormtel commenced with an insightful seminar led by Mr. Christian Delumen, one of the proponents of Project Voice. His topic focused on Gender Inclusivity in Leadership and Governance, empowering young leaders to foster equality, respect, and inclusive public service.

The session proper was presided over by SK Federation Vice President- Hon. Justin T. Dones. His discussions centered on the SK Chairpersons' budget concerns, updates on Quarterly Accomplishment and COA Reports, proposed projects funded through annual dues, and reminders regarding the updated list of council members. The productive gathering concluded with a photo opportunity, reflecting the federation's shared commitment to responsible leadership, transparency, and youth centered governance.

The Federation also extends its sincere gratitude to Sorsogon State University for generously allowing the SK Federation to utilize the Dormtel as a venue for meaningful discussions among the youth.
