On June 21, 2026, the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation of Sorsogon City successfully conducted its 6th Regular Session and Project VOICE-DRR Session at the SP Session Hall, Sorsogon City Hall.
The activity commenced with a learning session facilitated by Mr. Leonard Lacdang of Sorsogon State University, one of the proponents of Project VOICE. During the seminar, he highlighted the vital role of the youth as active Disaster Risk Reduction frontliners and emphasized the importance of youth participation in building resilient communities.
Following the seminar, the Federation proceeded with its 6th Regular Session presided over by Hon. Eugene Matthew D. Lopez. Key matters discussed during the session included updates on the 2026 SK Budget, SK Turnover procedure (BSKPFRDs), DILG Full Disclosure Online Report, updates on the SK Council List, resigned members, and the submission of First Quarter Accomplishment Reports.
The Federation also tackled preparations for the Linggo ng Kabataan (LNK), which is tentatively scheduled for August 2026, as well as the upcoming Amazing Race activity set to take place on June 27, 2026.
The Federation also acknowledged the presence of Councilor Mark Jayson Jamisola, Chairman of the Committee on Health, who encouraged the youth leaders to actively participate in the Mental Check-Up Program conducted on the same day and venue. He emphasized the importance of prioritizing mental health and well-being among the youth as part of building a healthy and resilient community.
The session served as a platform for collaboration, accountability, and strengthened commitment among SK leaders in advancing youth development and community engagement across Sorsogon City.
