Ayon sa BMBE Act of 2002, ang mga registered Barangay Micro Business Enterprise (BMBE) ay maaaring magpasahod ng emplayado nang mas mababa sa minimum wage.

Mga dapat tandaan:
- Kapag mayroon nang BMBE Certificate of Authority ang negosyo, automatically exempted na ito mula sa minimum wage law.
- Dapat pa ring makatanggap ang BMBE employee ng mga government-mandated benefits, tulad ng social security at health care benefits (e.g. PhilHealth, SSS, Pag-ibig, etc.)
- Ang minimum wage law exemption ay applicable lamang sa mga empleyadong na-hire pagkatapos mag-register ng negosyo bilang BMBE.

✅WHO CAN JOIN?

1. Participants must be currently enrolled junior high school students of the school (private or public) they are representing. A school can be represented by only one team composed of two members.
2. A maximum of two official coaches shall be allowed for each team.
3. Students must be Filipino citizens.
4. No team member must have competed in the previous years’ Consumerism Challenge.

*** The Provincial first, second, and third placers will automatically qualify to represent the province in the regional level which will be held on 28 October 2025 at Ayala Malls, Legazpi City, Albay.

2. Regional qualifiers will have a chance to win the following:

b. 1st Runner Up - Php 10,000.00 plus Plaque
c. 2nd Runner Up - Php 7,000.00 plus Plaque

Paano mo nga ba malalaman kung "deceptive" ang mga "sales acts or practices"?

Maituturing na deceptive ang isang bagay kung nagawa ng producer, manufacturer, supplier o seller na simulan ang isang transaksyon sa buyer sa pamamagitan ng pagtatago ng impormasyon, pagbibigay ng maling impormasyon o panloloko.

Ang mga sumusunod ay mga halimbawa ng mga panlolokong maaaring gawin ng producer, manufacturer, supplier, or seller:
1. Sabihin na ang produkto o serbisyong ibinebenta ay mayroong sangkap, katangian, kagamitan at benepisyo na wala naman talaga.
2. Sabihin na ang produkto o serbisyong ibinebenta may pamantayang nakamit, may kalidad, estilo o modelo na sa katunayan ay hindi naman.
3. Sabihin na ang ibinebenta ay bago, orihinal o hindi pa nagagamit na sa katunayan ay luma, gamit, o binago na.
4. Sabihin na "available" pa ngunit wala na pala.
5. Kapag ang naibigay na produkto ay hindi naman kapareho sa representasyon nito.
6. Ipinagbibili ng higit pa sa intensyo ng supplier.
7. Ang serbisyo o "repair" ng produkto ay sinabing kailangan ngunit hindi naman.
8. Ang produkto ay sinabing may "price advantage" o "discount" pero wala naman.
9. Walang warranty.
10. Ang seller o supplier ay may pagkakaugnay o koneksyon sa isang organisasyon ngunit wala naman.
