LGU Solano welcomed the month of June through this weekโ€™s Flag Raising Ceremony hosted by the SEEDOโ€“Public Market, bringing together good vibes, community spirit, and a renewed commitment to public service. The ceremony featured an energetic dance presentation by the host office, the re-awarding of recognitions received by the municipality, tokens for June birthday celebrants, and messages celebrating the achievements and dedication of the LGU workforce.

In his address, Mayor Atty. Philip A. Dacayo emphasized the importance of uniformity, uninterrupted delivery of public services, and efficient, balanced workforce management as the municipality transitions back to the regular five-day work week.

As a new month begins, the ceremony served as a reminder that progress is built not only through hard work, but also through unity, discipline, and a shared commitment to serve every Solanoan better each day.

Pursuant to Memorandum No. 199-A, s. 2026 issued by Office of the Municipal Mayor, all offices under the Local Government Unit of Solano shall revert to the regular five-day workweek effective June 1, 2026 (Monday).

With forecasts pointing to the possible development of a powerful or even "Super El Niรฑo," the Local Government Unit of Solano convened an emergency meeting with all concerned offices to assess existing resources, identify potential risks, and formulate proactive measures to mitigate its impacts on the municipality. Discussions focused on preparedness strategies, resource management, contingency planning, and coordinated actions to safeguard communities, livelihoods, agriculture, water supply, and public health should prolonged dry conditions and extreme heat materialize.

While the exact intensity of the phenomenon remains uncertain, LGU Solano recognizes that preparedness is our strongest defense. By planning ahead and working together, the municipality continues to strengthen its resilience and commitment to protecting every Solanoan from the challenges of a changing climate.

LGU Solano, through the Sangguniang Bayan, conducted discussions on the proposed ordinance establishing a School of Living Tradition (SLT) in the Municipality of Solano, aimed at institutionalizing the preservation, promotion, and transmission of indigenous and local cultural heritage for future generations. The initiative seeks to create a dedicated platform where traditional knowledge, practices, arts, and cultural expressions can be safeguarded and passed on through community-based learning.

As Solano continues to grow and modernize, this proposed measure affirms that progress is strongest when it remains rooted in identity, heritage, and the stories that shaped the community.
