Yesterday, the Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC), Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC), and the Municipal Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (MTF-ELCAC) successfully conducted its 2nd Quarter Joint Council Meeting, which was presided over by the Municipal Mayor, Hon. Sheffered Lino S. Tan.

Among the highlights discussed during the joint council were:
1. MPOC Resolution No. 3, s. 2026 - Designation of MPOC Representative to the Peopleโ€™s Law Enforcement Board (PLEB)
2. MPOC Resolution No. 4, s. 2026 - Strongly Endorsing SB Resolution No. 486-S.2026 Requesting the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity (OPAPRU) for Financial Assistance for Development Projects
3. Coordination on the 2 Project Sites of the PAyapa at MAsaganang PamayaNAn (PAMANA) Program

The training-conference is attended by all 45 Barangay Secretaries of the Municipality of Sogod.
