Mayor Alma 'Cares' Lomibao recently turned a team-building and charity event into a seemingly State of the Town Address (SOTA), focusing on immense improvements in infrastructures in her still short tenure of service and a "welcoming" environment for everyone at the Municipal Hall.
During the assembly, Mayor Lomibao emphasized the transition of the "Balay ti ili ti Sison".
While some residents viewed these ambitious plans as "castles in the air," the administration maintains that they are fiscally and technically doable - too farfetched projects but are workable and aimed to drastically reduce travel time and boost local commerce.
Addressing the seasonal droughts that affect many villages in Sison, Mayor Lomibao announced a practical solution for the town's water crisis. The million-peso yellow water tank near the Sison Central Integrated School, which had remained insufficient and almost non-functional, is slated for relocation to Poblacion Sur. Ililipat ang multi-million worth water tank to high-yield spring location in Poblacion Sur. This move leverages a newly discovered, high-capacity spring capable of supplying Poblacion Central and neighboring areas. This endeavor will also hasten our town plaza's rebirth as a verdant paradise, blooming in splendor to rival our neighboring towns' finest.
A similar initiative is also on the process for implementation in Barangay Bila - to tap into its lavish water sources, ensuring that the municipality's utility assets finally serve their intended purpose.
She also proudly announced that ten more rescue/emergency vehicles will soon be dispatched to ten more barangays.
Amidst the euphoric atmosphere of the assembly, many stood up, not to solicit for more projects, but to applaud the mayor and express their overwhelming gratitude for the significant improvements in their respective barangays, achieved despite her relatively yet short tenure.
