Under the “Bawat Barangay Makikinabang Program: Presidential Assistance to Barangays Under the Socio-Civic Projects Fund (SCPF)”, our barangay is pleased to have facilitated the provision of educational assistance to five (5) deserving student beneficiaries.

The scholars were selected based on the prescribed qualifications, including:
✅ Incoming 4th-year college students for SY 2026–2027
✅ Students from vulnerable households
✅ Students at risk of dropping out due to financial difficulties
✅ Students from families where no member has completed tertiary education.

ACCOMPLISHMENT | Youth Volunter Formation Course (YVFC) and Emergency First Aid Basic Life Support Training

Under the leadership of SK Chairperson Liliana Jane M. Calderon, the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Gil Montilla successfully conducted a First Aid Training in partnership with the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) of Sipalay City.

The activity equipped the youth with essential knowledge and practical skills in providing immediate care during emergencies, including basic first aid procedures and proper response during accidents and disasters.

Through this initiative, the Sangguniang Kabataan continues to promote youth preparedness, safety awareness, and active participation in disaster risk reduction and community resilience.

ACCOMPLISHMENT | Distribution of First Aid Kits to Purok Leaders and Youth Representatives

Under the leadership of SK Chairperson Liliana Jane M. Calderon, the Sangguniang Kabataan Council of Barangay Gil Montilla successfully distributed First Aid Kits to the Purok Leaders and their designated Youth Representatives who completed the First Aid Training conducted in partnership with the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) Sipalay.

This initiative aims to strengthen the barangay's emergency preparedness by ensuring that every purok has trained first responders equipped with essential first aid supplies to provide immediate assistance during emergencies and disasters.

The SK Council remains committed to empowering the youth, promoting community resilience, and supporting disaster risk reduction efforts through continuous training and capacity-building programs.

Together, we are building a safer, more prepared, and resilient Barangay Gil Montilla.

ACCOMPLISHMENT | Fabrication of Barangay Information Board

Under the leadership of Punong Barangay Gemma E. Trio, Barangay Gil Montilla successfully completed the Fabrication of the Barangay Information Board, an initiative spearheaded by Hon. Cynthia E. Galvan, Chairperson of the Committee on Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (BDRRM).

The project was undertaken to strengthen public information dissemination by providing a designated area for posting emergency advisories, disaster preparedness information, government programs, barangay announcements, and other important public notices. This initiative supports the barangay's commitment to disaster preparedness, transparency, and responsive public service.

Through the collective efforts of the Barangay Council, barangay personnel, and community workers, the Barangay Information Board now serves as a permanent and accessible information hub for the residents of Barangay Gil Montilla.

Together, we continue building a more informed, prepared, and resilient Barangay Gil Montilla.
