A battle of two minds on the battle board.
♟️CHESS is an interesting game played by two opponents with their own strategies and tactics. According to history, this board game was only played by the royal families, but soon after, it is then recreated by the people that got interested in.
This game includes concentration, patience, problem solving, as well as mathematical thinking, logical thinking and also critical decisions.
To start off, these past few days, February 1-2, 2024 at Sindangan National High School where the provincial meet of mind battle was held. Different students from different clusters have attended to battle against the other, of which will be selected to be the representative players for the upcoming regional meet.
In these tournament, Chess was played in two types, Blitz and Standard. Blitz was played within 5 minutes, here it presents the critical thinking. On the other hand, Standard is also known as a long game, played within 1 hour and 30 seconds increment.
The elementary match and secondary match happened all at once. Their presence gives a calm and peaceful atmosphere however, an intense battles are making the weather much more hotter.
As for the results, featuring the elementary boys, the qualified 🏆CHAMPION and the regional player, "Derek Godfrey E. Mertalla" known as the child of prodigy. Also for the secondary boys, "Creslyn James T. Ellovido", a senior high student, the 🏆CHAMPION and qualified regional chess player, also known as "The man of logics".
