Food safety is the foundation of a healthy and thriving community. On May 20, 2026, this vital principle was put into action during the Food Handler’s Class held at the Municipal Health Office. Designed to equip local food operators, vendor partners, and stakeholders with essential knowledge on hygiene and sanitation, the seminar marked a significant step forward in safeguarding public health and upgrading local food industry standards.

The success of this educational initiative stems from the strong leadership of our local government officials. The program was executed with the unwavering support of Municipal Mayor Hon. Glona G. Labadlabad and Municipal Health Officer Dr. Rex Samson. Their shared vision highlights a proactive approach to public health, ensuring that local businesses do not just grow economically, but also operate under the highest safety and sanitation conditions.

The training session featured expert guidance from highly qualified public health professionals. Provincial Sanitary Inspector Mr. Restie Kyamko and Mr. Ralph Rulog served as key speakers, sharing their extensive field knowledge with the participants. Their lectures covered critical topics, including proper food storage, preventing cross-contamination, personal hygiene protocols, and standard waste disposal management. Thanks to their clear and practical teaching style, complex regulatory standards were translated into actionable steps that participants can easily apply to their daily business operations.

The smooth ex*****on and organization of the event were spearheaded by our Sanitary Officers: Corlene Gonzaga, RN, RM, James Alarin, RM and Annabelle Singuillo,RM.

Ultimately, this Food Handler’s Class was more than just a regulatory requirement; it was a collaborative effort to build a culture of safety and accountability. Armed with new knowledge, the participants are now better prepared to protect their consumers from foodborne illnesses. The municipality continues to demonstrate that through education, strong leadership, and expert guidance, it can foster a safer, healthier environment for everyone.

❌Direct waste dumping in local waterways.
❌Lack of proper sanitary documentation.

We are here to help you comply, but health and safety come first!
Let’s work together to keep our community safe and our environment protected! 🌿💪
