Due to heavy rainfall events since 12:30AM of November 26, 2019, accompanied by high tide episodes, which caused flood incidents all over Silay City as well as to anticipate possible flooding events and continuous heavy rainfall, and for the preparation and safety of all residents, the SCDRRMC Chairman Hon. Mark Andrew Arthur J. Golez has DECLARED A SUSPENSION OF CLASSES ON ALL LEVELS (both public and private); likewise, work in the Silay City Government Offices is also suspended. All City Government Department/Division Heads are directed to provide a SKELETAL WORKFORCE in order to ensure the continuous delivery of services.
The City Government will be providing transportation services, to ferry stranded citizens/students, which will be stationed in front of the Public Plaza.
The SCDRRMC will be on standby to monitor and update the public on the latest weather forecast.
