March 7, 2025| PCOL MARIA SHIELA PORTENTO, Acting Dean of Acdemics and PCOL ANGELA REJANO, Assistant Dean of Academics lead the closing ceremony of Phase 3 CAP of PNPA Sinaglawin Class of 2025.

Such CAP programs are integral to the PNPA's curriculum, providing cadets with hands-on experience in real-world policing. They offer practical exposure to law enforcement operations, enhancing the cadets' readiness for future roles in the police service. The closing ceremonies of these programs often feature formal drills, reviews, and acknowledgments of the cadets' achievements, underscoring the academy's commitment to excellence in police education and training.

PNP Checkpoint by General Component City Police Station: Ensuring Safety and Awareness

As part of our ongoing efforts to maintain peace and order, the General Component City Police Station regularly conducts PNP checkpoints to ensure the safety of all residents and visitors in our city.

These checkpoints are a key aspect of our routine patrols, aimed at enforcing laws, identifying illegal activities, and promoting road safety. They offer an opportunity for law enforcement to verify compliance with traffic regulations, the COMELEC Gunban, and other local ordinances.

Officers are stationed to inspect vehicles, check for illegal items, and ensure that all road users are following traffic rules. To raise public awareness on critical issues such as drug prevention, road safety, and electoral regulations, we distribute Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials to motorists and pedestrians. These materials, including pamphlets and flyers, provide valuable information on checkpoint protocols, road safety, the upcoming 2025 elections, and other important community matters.

Day 6✅️ Phase 3 Cadet Attachment Program - Mock Police Station

An ANTI-ILLEGAL DRUGS campaign was launched under the 'Community Crime Prevention and Security' initiative, targeting residents, particularly the youth. The General CCPS is committed to enhancing community safety by actively combating the illegal drug trade and raising awareness about the harmful impacts of drug abuse.

As part of our Anti-Illegal Drugs Campaign, we are taking proactive measures to ensure that our city remains safe and free from drugs for all.

Additionally, our officers continue to monitor and collect intelligence to identify individuals and groups involved in the illegal drug trade. This includes conducting raids that have resulted in the arrest of multiple drug dealers and the seizure of illegal substances, significantly disrupting the influence of drug syndicates in our community. We also organize public seminars, school talks, and distribute educational materials to inform the public about the dangers of illegal drugs and encourage collective action in combating this issue. By collaborating with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and other law enforcement agencies, we are reinforcing our efforts to eliminate the drug problem in our city.

General Component City Police Station Successfully Carries Out Buy-Bust Operation Targeting Illegal Drugs

A buy-bust operation conducted by the General Component City Police Station resulted in the arrest of Juan Dela Cruz, also known as Buboy, following a Php 4,000 buy-bust transaction. Authorities discovered the suspect in possession of 10 grams of suspected Methamphetamine Hydrochloride ("shabu"), two .45 caliber pistols, a Toyota car key, and an Android phone.

The operation was carried out with precision when the poseur buyer signaled the team, leading to the prompt detention of the suspect. A body search and inventory were completed with the presence of a Media representative, DOJ representative, and Barangay Kagawad to ensure transparency and accountability.

The suspect, along with the confiscated evidence, was transported to GCCPS for proper documentation and processing. This operation serves as another significant step in the ongoing fight against illegal drugs, contributing to a safer, drug-free community for all.

The Police Community Relations Section of General CCPs organized an ANTI-ROBBERY campaign as part of the 'Community Crime Prevention and Security' initiative, aimed at business owners within the community. The campaign focused on educating and providing them with effective strategies and resources to prevent robberies and improve security in their businesses.

The activity included the distribution of educational materials, community engagement, and a public awareness campaign. Its goal was to raise awareness among business owners about crime prevention, particularly robbery, minimize the occurrence of robberies in business establishments, and encourage collaboration between business owners and local law enforcement agencies.

Day 18✅️ Phase 2 Cadet Attachment Program

Field Visit to Philippine Coast Guard at Port of Manila

Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) cadets participated in a field visit organized by the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG). During this visit, the cadets toured significant PCG vessel: the BRP Gabriela Silang (OPV-8301)

The BRP Gabriela Silang is the largest aluminum-hull Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV) built globally to date. Measuring 83.6 meters in length, it boasts advanced capabilities, including a cruising range of 8,000 nautical miles at 15 knots and the ability to operate for up to five weeks without resupply. Equipped with a helideck and hangar, it can accommodate an Airbus H145 helicopter, enhancing its operational versatility.

This field visit offered PNPA cadets valuable insights into the operational assets of the PCG, enhancing their understanding of maritime law enforcement and the equipment utilized in safeguarding the country's waters.
