LEARNING BY ASKING

The Santa Rosa City Police Station was awarded as the outstanding police station in the field of community relations in the regional level year 2022 under the leadership of the Chief of Police, PLTCOL PAUL SABULAO. In order to know and be informed about the best practices applied by the station, the cadets from the Philippine National Police Academy took the opportunity to visit and familiarize themselves with the plans and programs under the community affairs and development section of the station. The cadets were able to gather information regarding the effective strategy of the office in implementing various police-community relations programs in support of the anti-criminality, anti-insurgency, and anti-terrorism campaigns of the Philippine National Police.

The police community affairs and development section vowed to further strengthen the operational capabilities of the PNP, which are essential in promoting community and citizen participation in the maintenance of peace and order, and public safety.

VISIBILITY TO ENSURE SAFETY

In relation with Presidential Directive on Genuine Police Visibility that is in line with the Peace and Security Framework of PGEN RODOLFO S AZURIN JR, CPNP dubbed as Malasakit+Kaayusan+Kapayapaan=Kaunlaran and KASIMBAYANAN (Kapulisan, Simbahan, at Pamayanan) with its ultimate goal of achieving "Kaunlaran" by nurturing harmonious relationship with all sectors of the community— the personnel of Santa Rosa City Police Station together with the cadets from the Philippine National Police Academy conducted establishment visitation within the area of Santa Rosa City. This continuous and apparent police visibility is conducted to ensure public safety, monitor the peace and order situation and preempt the occurrence of crimes within the area of responsibility.

DAY TWELVE (12) OF CADET ATTACHMENT PROGRAM (CAP)

IN PHOTOS: Personnel of Santa Rosa City Police Station, together with the SWAT team of Laguna PPO and Cadets from the Philippine National Police Academy, conducted road security assistance for the guest of honor and speaker, Cong. Drixie Mae S Cardema, Vice chairperson, House Committee on National Defense and Security, for the commemoration of the National Day of remembrance of the gallant SAF44 which was held at PNPA SAF monument, Camp General Mariano N Castaneda, Silang, Cavite.

A little effort of providing assistance for the safety and security of the ceremony is the least we can contribute to commemorate and honor the heroic sacrifice of the Gallant SAF 44 who selflessly gave their lives in line of duty for us to continually be blessed with peace and liberty in our country.

THE HOPE OF OUR FUTURE

The Philippine National Police is committed to its purpose of creating an involvement in the community particularly to the development and guidance of the youth in the society. As a law enforcer serving as a role model to the younger generation, the organization must be in active participation in nurturing the well-being and life orientation of our youth in the community. In line with this objective, the personnel of Santa Rosa City Police Station together with the cadets from the Philippine National Police Academy took part in a youth engagement through feeding program at Brgy Sinalhan, Santa Rosa City. This activity is an investment in winning the trust and confidence of the youth, establishing a good example for them to secure a better future for they are the future leaders of our nation.

DAY TEN (10) OF CADET ATTACHMENT PROGRAM (CAP)

"Ensure assigned tasks are understood, supervised, and accomplished" - Leadership Principle number 9

Personnel of Santa Rosa City Police Station together with the cadets from the Philippine National Police Academy conducted visitation and regular monitoring of every Police Community Precinct (P*P) covered by the area of responsibility of Santa Rosa City. The said activity was made to assure that personnel assigned in the different police precincts are efficiently performing their respective duties in maintaining welfare and ensuring peace and order within their area of jurisdiction.

Through this, the cadets had the opportunity to inquire about commonly reported incidents and acquire their best practices to minimize and deter crimes that could be used as a future reference in handling a station.

DAY NINE (9) OF CADET ATTACHMENT PROGRAM (CAP)

IN PHOTOS: PLT BERNARD NAVARRO, the Chief Administrative Officer of the Santa Rosa City Police Station, imparted his guidance and mentorship to the cadets of the Philippine National Police Academy by sharing his real-life experiences and lessons learned throughout his career as a police officer, serving the country from being a patrolman and progressing to becoming a commissioned police officer. His 30-year service in the police force is a manifestation of his dedication and commitment to the PNP, serving as an example and inspiration to all men in uniform. He also highlighted the importance of character and competency as public safety leaders leading and directing our subordinates in the field, for these are our assets in achieving our objective of serving the people and enforcing the law without fear or favor.

DAY EIGHT(8 ) OF CADET ATTACHMENT PROGRAM (CAP)

“Be sure of your target and what is around it”- 3rd rule of gun safety

Every police officer should be capacitated with proficient firearm handling and familiarization to prevent life-threatening situations such as accidental firing, which happened in the recent incident of a police officer who accidentally shot his subordinate while cleaning their issued firearm.

In relation to the directive of the Chief, Philippine National Police, to conduct a reiteration of gun safety rules to all the personnel of the PNP— the Cadets from the Philippine National Police Academy, together with the staff of Santa Rosa City Police Station under the supervision of PLTCOL PAUL SABULAO, Chief of Police, conducted firearm proficiency and gun familiarization at Tactical Arms Shooting Center in Balibago, Santa Rosa City.

PLTCOL SABULAO reiterated and emphasized to the cadets the importance of internalizing gun safety regulations and possessing exceptional marksmanship in order to use the firearm accurately, especially when confronted with an imminent threat that could endanger our lives and the lives of our people.

DAY SEVEN (7) OF CADET ATTACHMENT PROGRAM (CAP)

ENSURING SECURITY, PUBLIC ORDER AND SAFETY

Due to the fact that crime rates are higher at night, the personnel of Santa Rosa City Police Station, together with the Police Cadets of the Philippine National Police Academy, conducted a night duty routine by organizing a checkpoint operation along the road in Barangay Pulong Santa Cruz, Santa Rosa City.

This activity is in line with the enhanced managing police operations strategy of the Philippine National Police, which aims to reduce and prevent crimes to maintain peace and order, particularly in areas where incidents of crime and violence are most likely to occur.

The Philippine National Police pledges to put forth extra effort to the best of its ability, even if it means sacrificing sleep, rest, and comfort to ensure the community's security and safety.

DAY SIX(6) OF CADET ATTACHMENT PROGRAM (CAP)

On a sunny and busy morning of January 19, 2023, while conducting roving and mobile patrol within the area of jurisdiction, the personnel of Santa Rosa City Police Station, together with the Cadets of the Philippine National Police Academy, responded to a vehicular accident that transpired along Balibago-Tagaytay road, Brgy Pulong Sta Cruz, Laguna. The earlier-mentioned incident was later determined to be a self-inflicted accident that resulted in the damage of the right portion of the bumper of the vehicle.

May this incident be an eye-opener to all motorists that an accident knows no time; it can be early in the day or late at night. Let us always be vigilant and observe road attention for a safer expedition.

FIFTH DAY OF CADET ATTACHMENT PROGRAM (CAP)

“The effectiveness of law enforcement is determined by how well law enforcement officers interact with the community they serve”

The Cadets of the Philippine National Police Academy together with the personnel of Santa Rosa City Police Station conducted a community outreach program by providing food to the less-fortunate families residing along the railroad of Santa Rosa City.

This activity fits with the KASIMBAYANAN program thrust of the CPNP, which stands for "Kapulisan, Simbahan at Pamayanan" that aims to foster and strengthen the relationship between the police and the public in order to ensure a safe and secure community.

He embodies the goodwill and moral fiber of a master mason through his humility and dedication to the police service. He serves as an example not only for the fraternal organization but also for the society as a whole.
