The Department of Trade and Industry through the Bureau of Philippine Standards, has adopted PNS ISO/IEC 17024:2026, introducing new requirements on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the certification process to maintain fairness, transparency and reliability of results.
Replacing PNS ISO/IEC 17024:2014, this standard titled โConformity assessment โ General requirements for bodies operating certification of personsโ aligns the Philippines with the latest international requirements issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).
