The Department of Trade and Industry through the Bureau of Philippine Standards, has adopted PNS ISO/IEC 17024:2026, introducing new requirements on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the certification process to maintain fairness, transparency and reliability of results.

Replacing PNS ISO/IEC 17024:2014, this standard titled “Conformity assessment — General requirements for bodies operating certification of persons” aligns the Philippines with the latest international requirements issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).

Sa ilalim ng Republic Act No. 11967, kailangang may maayos na Internal Redress Mechanism para sa consumer complaints at concerns.

Ibig sabihin, dapat may sistema para tumanggap at umaksyon sa mga issue tulad ng wrong item, defective products, undelivered orders, at refund concerns.
