For parents/guardians of children currently studying at Negros Oriental High School (NOHS).. Your children's safety must always come first. Please take this matter seriously and be guided accordingly.

In light of the recently circulating threat posted online, Negros Oriental High School has activated its Crisis Management Team and has coordinated with the City Police Station and the Cybercrime Division for appropriate assessment and necessary action.
As a precautionary measure, the school has implemented heightened security and safety protocols to help ensure the protection and well-being of everyone in the campus.
We respectfully urge everyone to remain calm, vigilant, and cooperative. We also appeal to all members of the school community to refrain from sharing, reposting, or circulating unverified reports, screenshots, and announcements, as these may cause unnecessary fear, confusion, and panic. Please rely only on official announcements from the school authorities.
The safety and security of our learners remain our highest priority. We have requested increased police presence in the vicinity of the school, as well as the support of the Barangay Daro Crisis Management Team and other concerned stakeholders involved in crime prevention and community safety.
We likewise recognize that parents and guardians have the primary responsibility and authority over your children and wards. Should you have serious concerns about sending your children to school on Thursday, August 20, 2026, you are encouraged to exercise your best judgment and we will respect your decision of not sending your children to school, while remaining in close communication with Teachers and Class Advisers. The school will continue to coordinate with authorities and provide official updates as soon as verified information becomes available.
