Mayor Caroline Bacaltos welcomed the World Bank representatives and partner agencies during their visit to the Municipality of Sibonga and Barangay Candaguit, reaffirming the municipality’s commitment to programs that strengthen communities and improve the lives of Sibonganhons.
World Bank: Partner in Progress, Nutrition, and Resilience!
The Municipality of Sibonga is honored to host the World Bank, a key funding partner for the Philippine Multi-Sectoral Nutrition Project (PMNP), KALAHI-CIDSS NCDDP Additional Financing, and the Philippine Community Resilience Project (PCRP), together with its partner agencies.
The visit aimed to assess and observe the impact and implementation of these programs, highlighting initiatives that continue to create positive change through improved nutrition, stronger infrastructure, poverty reduction efforts, and enhanced disaster resilience within communities.
Present during the visit were:
▪ Zafer Mustafaoglu, Division Director for the Philippines, Malaysia, and Brunei of the World Bank, together with the World Bank Team
▪ DSWD Regional Office VII headed by Shalaine Marie S. Lucero, CESO III
▪ DSWD Nutritional Program Management Office headed by Assistant Secretary Edmon Monteverde
▪ DOH Central Office headed by Dr. Faith F. Alberto, MD, MPH
In her welcome message, Mayor Caroline Bacaltos expressed gratitude for the continued partnership and support that empower communities and bring meaningful development closer to every Sibonganhon.
This visit reflects the strong collaboration among funding institutions, national agencies, and local stakeholders, ensuring that every investment creates lasting impact and sustainable progress, with communities remaining at the heart of development.
