The Local Government Unit of Sibonga, under the leadership of Mayor Caroline Bacaltos, proudly joins the nation in celebrating the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary this September.

To officially kick off the month-long celebration, all officials and employees of LGU Sibonga are encouraged to join the Civil Service Month Kick-Off Motorcade this afternoon, September 1, at 3:00 PM.

More than a celebration, this meaningful occasion is a tribute to the dedication, integrity, and unwavering commitment of every public servant who continues to serve the Sibonganhons with compassion and excellence.

Anchored on this year’s theme, “Bawat Kawani, Lingkod Bayani: Puso, Dangal, at Galing Para sa Bayan,” the celebration honors the invaluable contributions of government workers who give their time, skills, and hearts in the pursuit of better public service.

Together, let us recognize and celebrate every Lingkod Bayani behind every serbisyo, every accomplishment, and every step toward a better Sibonga.

With hearts united in faith, the Municipality of Sibonga proudly joins Halad sa Pagtuo 2026, a beautiful celebration of Cebu’s deep faith, cherished traditions, and rich cultural heritage.

This year, we bring with us our profound devotion to our beloved patron saints, Nuestra Señora del Pilar and Santa Filomena. For generations, their presence has been a source of hope, strength, and guidance for every Sibonganhon.

At the heart of our participation is a beautifully adorned carroza, lovingly prepared as a humble offering of faith. More than its beauty, it carries the prayers, devotion, and love of an entire community.

Dako ang among pasalamat sa atong Carroza Decorator Arnold Rafaela for his creativity, dedication, and generosity in bringing this beautiful expression of faith to life. To our Tourism Officer Dane Hermosisima, Wilhelm Druel DelaCruz Rivera and Bryan Dave Villariaza daghang salamat sa inyong supporta.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mayor Caroline Bacaltos and Vice Mayor Mariano Laude, SB Members and all the Barangay Captains for their unwavering support and leadership in making Sibonga’s participation possible.

A New Space for Active Aging 🧡

This marks a meaningful milestone for our Senior Citizens as we officially open the Senior Citizens’ Fitness Corner, a space dedicated to promoting active living, wellness, and a healthier way of life.

In the presence of our dedicated Department Heads, the ribbon was cut by Miss Lainne Bacaltos, Sir Gilmore Saniel, Brenda Mansueto; OSCA Head and Sir Gerald Enriquez while Rev. Fr. Ryan Christopher Ferolino led the blessing of the fitness equipment.

More than just a fitness corner, this stands as a symbol of our commitment to the health, wellness, and dignity of our senior citizens.

Because health has no age limit, every Sibonganhon deserves a space to stay active, strong, and happy.

A stronger community begins with seniors who are healthy, active, and deeply valued.🧡🧡🧡

SCHEDULED POWER INTERRUPTION ADVISORY

ATTENTION, SIBONGANHONS!

Please be informed of the scheduled power interruption in the Municipality of Sibonga on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

📍 Affected Area:
SIBONGA, except portions of Brgy. Lindogon and Sitio Ongka Banlot.

The interruption is necessary to facilitate maintenance works, line reinforcement activities, and other electrical works along the Naga–Sibonga 69kV line.

Residents are advised to make the necessary preparations, unplug sensitive electrical appliances, and plan activities accordingly. Power may be restored earlier than the scheduled time; however, restoration may also be extended due to unforeseen circumstances.

We encourage all Sibonganhons to take note of this advisory and share it with others who may be affected.
