Findings: The facility now shows signs of deterioration, including visible cracks. The purpose of the MPDP was to serve as a drying pavement, but it is no longer used as intended because it has been converted into a basketball court and venue for other purok activities. The chairman also mentioned that there are closer drying facilities available, which is why the community rarely uses this one.

𝐑𝐁𝐌𝐄 𝐍𝐨𝐰 𝐅𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝟑𝟐𝟐 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐫

The Provincial Government of Agusan del Sur has officially concluded its province-wide Results-Based Monitoring and Evaluation (RBME) training for the Barangay Project Monitoring and Evaluation Committees (BPMECs), with the final sessions held in Bayugan City.

The last leg of the training was held at Alfra’s Patio Grande in two batches on August 4–5 and August 11–12, 2025. This marks the completion of a capacity development program that commenced in July 2024, successfully capacitating BPMEC members from all 322 barangays in the province’s 1 city and 13 municipalities.

Through this initiative, the Provincial Government has fully institutionalized the RBME approach at the barangay level, ensuring standardized monitoring, improved coordination, and enhanced results in the implementation of programs, projects, and activities (PPAs).

The completion of the training marks the commencement of a more systematic and evidence-based monitoring process across all barangays in Agusan del Sur, underscoring the provincial government’s commitment to accountability, transparency, and effective governance.

𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬: 𝐀𝐠𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐧 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠

As part of its continuing advocacy to empower the Agsurnon youth, the Provincial Government of Agusan del Sur, through the Results-Based Monitoring and Evaluation (RBME) Unit, in partnership with the Provincial Employment Services Office (PESO), conducted an RBME Orientation on June 5, 2025, for student-beneficiaries of the Special Program for the Employment of Students (SPES).

Unlike in previous years, where SPES beneficiaries were assigned to provincial offices, the 2025 deployment strategy involves placing these students in their respective barangays. This approach aims to strengthen grassroots monitoring by augmenting the capacity of the Barangay Project Monitoring and Evaluation Committees (BPMECs) in tracking the implementation of programs, projects, and activities (PPAs) within their jurisdictions.

They will be deployed for 10 to 20 days of duty, where their tasks include:
✅ Coordinating with barangay officials
✅ Managing the RBME BPMEC pages
✅ Monitoring and documenting the progress of local projects

𝐀𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐒 𝐎𝐛𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬:
SPES is designed to help students gain work experience and contribute meaningfully to their community. This deployment allows them to apply their skills in real-life governance efforts, while promoting transparency and participation in the implementation of local development projects.
