The DILG Siayan Field Office successfully conducted the 2nd Monthly Meeting of Barangay Secretaries of Siayan, reinforcing our shared commitment to responsive, transparent, and results-driven barangay governance.

The meeting focused on the following key agenda:

βœ… Barangay Governance Areas Results – Discussion of performance outcomes across governance areas, identifying strengths, gaps, and actionable steps for continuous improvement.
βœ… LTIA-HUB 2026 – Updates and guidance on the Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Awards (LTIA) through the bit.ly/ltia-hub-2026 platform to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
βœ… Compliance Checklist Review – Clarification of documentary requirements and standard checklist to support barangays in meeting governance standards efficiently.

The activity served as a platform for collaboration, technical guidance, and alignment of priorities to further strengthen barangay performance in the Municipality of Siayan.

DepEd class suspension guidelines (DepEd Order No. 022, s. 2024)

TCWS No. 1: Automatically suspends in-person kindergarden classes in the affected area.

TCWS No. 2: Automatically suspends in-person classes for Kindergarden to Grade 10. Students are required to shift to modular distance learning or other alternative modes.

TCWS No. 3 or higher: Automatically suspends all classes and work at every level, from Kindergarten to Senior High School in affected
areas.

Yellow, Green, or Red warnings can trigger local government or school heads decisions for class suspension, particularly for lower-lying or flooded areas.

Discretionary Authority: Local Chief Executives (Mayors/Governors) can suspend classes even without typhoon signals if safety is at risk
