Gov. Arthur R. Defensor Jr. Turns Over 3-Classroom Building for SHS

"The key is ours! Thank You Gov.!"

This is the celebration of cheers and joy of San Luis NHS as the Turn Over and Acceptance Ceremony kicked- off yesterday, January 20, 2024.

A one- storey and three-classroom building for Senior High School was turned over from Hon. Arthur R. Defensor, Jr. , Governor Province of Iloilo through Hon . Jon N. Aying ,Mayor ; Hon Vice - Mayor Ryan S. Zerrudo; Sangguniang Bayan Members, Mr. Dioscoro G. Villaruel and Mr Ariel A. Villaruel present and former Punong Barangay of San Luis respectively, and Public Schools District Supervisor representative Dr .Wellet A. Del Castillo in behalf of PSDS Dr. Shiela C. Villanueva, that was accepted by Dr. Melinda B. Dela Cruz, Principal II together with Mr . Raymundo L. Lumangyao, PTA President; Mrs. Rhona B. Tugoblimas, SHS Coor. and Ms. Krisna May D. Demetiez,SSLG President.

Mayor Aying , Vice- Mayor Zerrudo and the Sanguniang Bayan Members Hon. Joseph N. Aying , SBM ( In- Charge of Education); Hon. Rey G. Canindo; Hon. Dennis E. Caraecle; Hon. Isalio M. Jalandoni; Hon. Deoly P. Valenzuela; Hon. Mychel M. Saber and Hon. Antonio Martin S. Tedoco III represented the Municipality of Sara to support and celebrate this momentous event. Special guests like Mr. Niel "Beng" C. Tupas III and Dr. Nielito C. Tupas were also present.

In behalf of Dr. Shiela C. Villanueva, PSDS , Dr. Wellet A. Del Castillo, Principal IV, Sara NHS together with Mrs. Herna C. Querubin, Principal I, Apelo ES and Mr. Gerardo E. Damirez , Principal I, San Luis ES represented the Schools District of Sara.

The presence of four other feeder Punong Barangays and officials comprised namely, Mr. Ruben T. Destacamento of Improgo;
Mrs. Verna B. Estrevillo of Tentay and
Mrs Eugenia Amado of Bagaygay.

It was a public service weekend get away as the provincial, municipal and barangay LGUs gathered over to support and witness this victorious and momentous event in SLNHS milestone.

San Luisians open the doors of the magical world of reading! ✨📖📚

Teachers and learners shared an exciting day to answer the call of the DepEd's first Catch-up Friday activity as part of the recovery and intervention in addressing the alarming decline of international standards in reading skills among Filipino learners.

This launching of the Drop Everything and Read ( DEAR) Fridays commenced the 12th, 19th and 26th days of January.

It aimed to unfold each learner's focus in engaging with a meaningful, enjoyable ,fun-filled and productive reading and learning moments with the integration to values , health ,peace education and Homeroom Guidance across curriculum amidst this ever- challenging world of technological advancement and dynamic learning.

Count us in , to a more interesting and productive DEAR Days to come! Let's go!
