ORANGE-FILLED SCHOOL FOR VAW

In relevance to the observance of the 18-day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW), Sara NHS filled the air with orange color on December 5, 2025. This was observed to deepen the commitment to end violence against women and to build a safer, more just future for women and girls in school and in the Philippines.

With its recurring theme, "United for a VAw-free Philippines," the campaign highlighted the transformative power of collective and coordinated action in addressing this urgent issue.

Sara NHS Volleyball Girls Clinch 1st Runner-Up in Rebisco Volleyball League

Barotac Viejo, Iloilo – September 6, 2025

The Sara National High School Volleyball Girls proudly bagged 1st Runner-Up in the prestigious Rebisco Volleyball League held in Barotac Viejo, Iloilo.

In an intense championship showdown, the Sara NHS Volleyball Girls fought with grit and determination against Barotac Viejo NHS. The thrilling three-set match ended with scores of 25-22, 20-25, 11-15, sealing Sara NHS’s place as tournament runner-up.

Guided by the leadership of Coach Martiabel Marie Fuentes and Assistant Coach RV John Arroyo, and with the unwavering support of School Sports Director Jess Bedro, the team showcased exceptional teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the competition.

The achievement would not have been possible without the heartfelt support of Hon. Jon N. Aying, Municipal Mayor; Mrs. Genet B. Azuelo, Head Teacher II/OIC; and Mr. Manuel Y. Espiga Jr., PTA President, whose encouragement inspired the athletes to give their best on the court.

The Sara NHS Volleyball Girls’ remarkable performance stands as a testament to their hard work, discipline, and passion for the sport—bringing pride and honor to the school and the community of Sara.

Hinampang 2025 Officially Concludes with a Remarkable Celebration of Talent and Spirit!

With the theme “Taga-Sara Natio: In Sports and Unity, We Build Victory and Excellence with Dignity”, Sara NHS proudly marked the successful culmination of Hinampang 2025. The Opening Program, held last September 4, 2025, was graced by the presence of the honorable Mayor Jon N. Aying, honorable Vice Mayor Ryan Zerrudo, Municipal Federated SK President Brix B. Bondoc, and Dr. Shiela C. Villanueva, PSDS Schools District of Sara, setting the tone for a meaningful and spirited celebration.

This year’s event highlighted camaraderie, discipline, and school pride under the leadership of Sports Director Jess S. Bedro, with the full support of Head Teacher II/OIC Genet B. Azuelo and PTA President Manuel Y. Espiga Jr. Truly, Hinampang 2025 was a showcase of unity, excellence, and the enduring spirit of Taga-Sara Natio.

STRENGTHENING MAPEH EXCELLENCE THROUGH COLLABORATION

The District-Wide Collaborative Expertise in MAPEH for Secondary Schools brought together passionate educators from the Schools District of Sara for a three-day collaborative training held on August 1, 8, and 15, 2025 at Sara NHS Showroom.

This meaningful event featured insightful sessions on Unpacking of MELCs, Teaching Strategies, and Approaches led by Sir Jess Bedro of Sara NHS, and an engaging discussion on Project-Based Learning facilitated by Ma’am Reysa F. Rodrigo of San Luis Elementary School.

Through shared expertise, open dialogue, and collective commitment, our MAPEH teachers continue to innovate, inspire, and empower learners—proving that collaboration is the heartbeat of quality education.

SPECIAL VISIT TO SARA NHS

Sara National High School was honored to welcome Sir Jose Marie T. Bedro, Administrative Officer V of the Schools Division of Iloilo, and Dr. Shiela C. Villanueva, Public Schools District Supervisor, for an official school visit.

Their presence served as an inspiration to the entire school community, affirming the commitment of the Schools Division of Iloilo to quality education and support for both learners and educators. During their visit, Sir Bedro and Dr. Villanueva took time to discuss ongoing initiatives aimed at enhancing the learning environment.

ADM LEARNING CONTINUES DESPITE THE UNFAVORABLE WEATHER CONDITION

Sara NHS made sure that learning continues through Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) during the two days suspension of classes posed by heavy rainfall brought about by the Southwest Monsoon. Teacher-advisers keep in touched with their learners via social media platform to ensure that learning never stops whatever circumstances that might come.

The Officer-In-Charge, Mrs. Genet B. Azuelo instructed clearly the teachers to send modules to their respective group chats after ensuring their safety at home with their families.

THE VOLLEYBALL COURT THUNDERS AT SARA NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL WITH COACH MAICO ZARRIS.

Sara National High School proudly opened its courts to Coach Maico Zarris, Volleyball Coach from the Province of Iloilo.

Coach Maico empowered the aspiring volleyball players to strengthen their technique, endurance, and team coordination. His training approach nurtured not just athletic talent but also respect, discipline, and teamwork. His vision is to guide students into becoming future volleyball champions and passionate ambassadors of sport.
