BAGYONG CALOY! Misulod na ang Tropical Storm Caloy (International name: Hagupit) sa Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) kaganihang alas-6 sa gabii, Mayo 9, 2026.

​Status: Naa kini sa 1,035 km silangan sa Mindanao nga adunay kusog nga hangin nga 65 km/h.

​Epekto sa Misamis Occidental: Walay direktang landfall nga gilauman. Dakog posibilidad nga magpabilin kini sa dagat ug posibleng muhinay karong Lunes.

​Panahon sa Probinsya: Magpabiling hayag ang kalangitan sa Misamis Occidental, apan ang Trough (sumpay sa panganod) ni Caloy ug ang Easterlies mahimong magdala og pat-ak-pat-ak nga ulan o thunderstorm sa hapon o gabii.

The Municipality of Sapang Dalaga is honored to be among the selected municipalities in Misamis Occidental included in the scenic tour of the
Miss Universe Philippines 2026 delegation on April 22, 2026.

In line with this visit, and pursuant to Executive Order No. 13 series of 2026, all tourist destinations in the municipality will be temporarily CLOSED from April 21 to April 22 to allow for security and logistical preparations.

Regular operations will resume on April 23.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Sapang Dalaga officially announces the downgrading of our Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to WHITE ALERT status effective 12:00 NN today, April 6, 2026.

We are pleased to report a peaceful and safe observance of the Holy Week with zero casualties recorded throughout the municipality.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our partner agencies—the PNP, BFP, RHU, and our dedicated Barangay Tanods—for their unwavering commitment to public safety during this heightened alert period.

MDRRMO Sapang Dalaga remains on BLUE ALERT STATUS. With the fair weather today, our teams are strategically deployed at Caluya Port, Caluya Shrine, and the OPCEN to assist all visitors and devotees.

We are also coordinating closely with the local parish for the safety of tonight’s 6:00 PM Easter Vigil.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) of Sapang Dalaga has officially activated the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) – BLUE ALERT STATUS effective:
