The program encourages participants to engage with local communities, natural environments, food systems, and traditional knowledge through interdisciplinary creative practice.
Selected residents will receive creative bursaries, meals, accommodations, and curatorial support throughout the residency period. Participants are given space to develop artistic works, collaborative projects, and ecological interventions that respond to the social and environmental realities of the municipality.

The program aims to cultivate dialogue between creatives and communities while fostering sustainable approaches to art-making, environmental stewardship, and cultural preservation.

Another milestone has been achieved for the bamboo industry in the Municipality of Rizal as the Shared Service Facility (SSF) Project for the Establishment of an Engineered Bamboo Facility was officially launched today in our municipality.

Led by Al-Zamir I. Lipae, together with Estrella M. Roda, the launching marks the establishment of the very first Shared Service Facility in Rizal, Zamboanga del Norte.

The project, with a total investment of PhP 1.8 million worth of modern equipment, aims to empower local bamboo processors and micro-entrepreneurs by enhancing their production capabilities, improving product quality, and creating more economic opportunities through value-added bamboo products.

Present during the activity were Municipal Mayor Marissa D. Manigsaca, BAROG President and former SB Member Dante Molina, representatives from Technical Education and Skills Development Authority and Department of Science and Technology, together with stakeholders and members of the local bamboo sector who continue to support sustainable development initiatives in the municipality.

This initiative reflects the continuing commitment of the government and partner agencies in promoting innovation, livelihood opportunities, and the long-term growth of Rizal’s bamboo industry toward a more progressive and sustainable community.

The Local Government Unit of Rizal extends its sincerest gratitude to the Department of Trade and Industry headed by Regional Director Al-Zamir I. Lipae and DTI Provincial Director, Ms. Estrella M. Roda for their invaluable support and commitment in making the Shared Service Facility (SSF) Project for the Establishment of an Engineered Bamboo Facility possible in our municipality.

Their dedication to empowering local industries and providing opportunities for bamboo processors and micro-entrepreneurs will create a lasting impact on the lives of many Rizalians. Through this partnership, we continue to move toward sustainable economic growth and stronger livelihood opportunities for our community.

📢 PUBLIC ADVISORY

Please be informed that the offices of the Local Government Unit of Rizal will be temporarily CLOSED today starting at 10:30 AM due to an electrical problem that caused power interruption within the municipal building.

However, the following offices shall remain OPEN and operational to continue delivering essential public services:

• Municipal Health Office (MHO)
• Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO)

A corresponding Memorandum Order shall follow for the guidance and information of all concerned.

Regular office services and transactions shall resume tomorrow, May 19, 2026, Tuesday, until Friday.

Warm congratulations to Barangay South Mapang on the successful construction of their new Barangay Hall equipped with CCTV facilities that will help strengthen peace, order, and safety within the South Mapang community.

Municipal Mayor Marissa D. Manigsaca recently visited the newly constructed facility together with barangay captain Danilp Bacis, to personally witness another meaningful development project for the people of Rizal.

This new Barangay Hall stands as a symbol of unity, progress, and sincere public service—bringing government services closer and more accessible to every resident of South Mapang. Through strong leadership and collaboration among our congressional, provincial, and local governments, initiatives like this continue to promote a safer, more organized, and more progressive community for all.

The opening of this new establishment reflects the continuing growth of businesses and the local economy in the Municipality of Rizal. The Local Government Unit extends its gratitude to entrepreneurs and investors who continue to place their trust and confidence in our municipality, creating more opportunities, services, and progress for every Rizalnon.

Malampusong gipahigayon ang TUPAD Orientation ug Turn-Over of Livelihood Kits ubos sa DOLE Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program (DILEEP) diin 16 ka benepisyaryo ang nakadawat sa mga livelihood kits nga makatabang sa ilang panginabuhian ug pagpalambo sa ilang matag-adlaw nga pamginabuhi.

Ang maong programa nahimong posible pinaagi sa suporta ni Hon. Marissa D. Manigsaca uban sa Municipal PESO Manager nga si Mr. Zosimo Amba. Gitambongan usab kini sa DOLE Regional Director nga si Mr. Albert E. Gutib, ug Provincial Director Aileen Mondejar, isip pagpakita sa padayon nga paningkamot sa gobyerno sa paghatag ug oportunidad sa panginabuhi alang sa mga katawhan.

Kining maong programa usa ka inisyatiba sa Local Government Unit of Rizal ubos sa liderato ni Mayor Marissa D. Manigsaca pinaagi sa Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office nga gipangulohan ni Jovelyn Pigrates.

Ang maong kalihokan nahitabo sa Barangay East Poblacion, Rizal, Zamboanga del Norte uban sa suporta ug kooperasyon sa mga barangay opisyales nga gipangulohan ni Rhodelito Suello ug sa mga Sangguniang Kabataan Chairpersons and Councilors.

Tumong sa maong programa ang pagpalig-on sa kahibalo sa mga kabataan sa pagbasa, pagsabot, ug pagpakita sa ilang abilidad sa komunikasyon aron mas maandam sila sa ilang pag-eskwela ug umaabot nga pangandoy sa kinabuhi.
