A total of 72 Teacher Education students of La Patria College received certificates of completion after participating in the 2026 Handog ng Pangulo Caravan through the ACHIEVE Micro-Credentials Program of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) on September 14, 2026.

The students completed the free, five-hour micro-credential course, “Introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI) Literacy and Responsible Use,” offered by Mapúa University through CHED’s micro-credential platform.

The initiative promoted AI literacy and the responsible use of technology, supporting efforts to strengthen digital competencies and innovation in higher education.

𝗟𝗔 𝗣𝗔𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗔 𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗚𝗘 – 𝗖𝗥𝗜𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗢𝗟𝗢𝗚𝗬 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣 𝗗𝗘𝗣𝗟𝗢𝗬𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences – Criminology Program proudly announces the official deployment of our Criminology interns to the Cordon Fire Station and Cordon Municipal Police Station.

This collaboration marks another significant milestone in our commitment to equipping future law enforcers and public safety officers with real-world experience and professional exposure. Through this internship, our students will gain hands-on training in fire safety management, emergency response, and community risk reduction—further developing their skills, discipline, and sense of duty to serve the public.

This initiative also supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:
🌍 SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions – by fostering integrity, accountability, and effective law enforcement; and
🏙️ SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities – by promoting safety, resilience, and preparedness in local communities.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Cordon Fire Station and Cordon Municipal Police Station for their unwavering partnership and dedication in helping mold our Criminology students into competent, service-oriented professionals.

La Patria College Holds 3rd Pinning and Capping Ceremony for BS Criminology Students

SANTIAGO CITY, PHILIPPINES — La Patria College, through its College of Humanities and Social Sciences – Criminology Program, successfully held its 3rd Pinning and Capping Ceremony on September 14, 2026, at the LPC Gymnasium, Palac Road, Buenavista, Santiago City.

The ceremony brought together the 4th Year BS Criminology students, their parents, college administrators, faculty members, and guests in a meaningful celebration of the students’ academic journey and professional preparation.

The program featured an inspirational message from Atty. Alexis V. Abrasaldo, RCrim, who served as the guest speaker. Messages from the college administration and faculty further emphasized the importance of discipline, integrity, commitment, and service in the field of criminology.

A significant highlight of the event was the Capping and Pinning Ceremony, symbolizing the students’ dedication to their chosen profession and their readiness to embrace the responsibilities that come with becoming future criminologists.

The ceremony concluded with closing remarks, a closing prayer, and a photo opportunity, leaving students and their families with memories of a milestone filled with pride, gratitude, and hope.
