The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) does not accredit, recommend, or endorse any specific brand, store, or distributor of fire extinguishers and firefighting equipment.
Official Policy: BFP Memorandum Circular No. 2016-016 explicitly states that the BFP does not recommend specific suppliers or brands.
Illegal Activity: Any BFP personnel who recommends a specific supplier or brand is engaging in unethical and illegal "corrupt practices". This is often done for a commission and is a form of bribery.
Focus on Compliance: The BFP's role is to ensure that fire safety equipment meets the requirements and standards set forth in the Fire Code of the Philippines of 2008 (RA 9514) and its Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations (RIRR), not to promote a particular vendor.
