The Provincial Human Resource Management Office (PHRMO) successfully conducted an orientations on Performance Management (SPMS) for the Provincial Government Environment and Natural Resources Office (PGENRO) and Office of the Provincial Veterinarian (OPV).

The session focused on guiding employees in effectively accomplishing the Individual Performance Monitoring Tool (IPMT).

This vital tool ensures that employee evaluations remain fair, transparent, and objective—ultimately driving higher productivity and excellence in public service.

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 126 of the Office of the President, and in view of the continuous heavy rainfall affecting the Province, the Provincial Government of Laguna (PGL) shall adopt a Work-from-Home (WFH) arrangement as an alternative work arrangement today, 14 August 2026, subject to the exigencies of the service.

Department/Office Heads and Administrative Officers are hereby instructed to identify and assign appropriate tasks and deliverables to personnel under the WFH arrangement and ensure the timely accomplishment thereof. Online reporting, communication, and coordination shall be maintained to ensure continuity of government operations, proper monitoring of personnel, and prompt response to official concerns and directives.

Offices and personnel involved in the delivery of basic and frontline services, disaster preparedness and response, emergency operations, and other vital and essential services are directed to continue operations and render the necessary services, subject to appropriate safety measures and operational arrangements.

ALTERNATIVE WORK ARRANGEMENTS FOR GOVERNMENT OFFICES, ALTERNATIVE LEARNING MODES FOR SCHOOLS ON AUGUST 14

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 126, government offices are directed to shift to appropriate alternative work arrangements in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on August 14, 2026:

📍 Zambales
📍 Bataan
📍 Bulacan
📍 Pampanga
📍 Tarlac
📍 Nueva Ecija
📍 Cavite
📍 Batangas
📍 Rizal
📍 Laguna
📍 Quezon
📍 Occidental Mindoro

Unless otherwise directed by their respective Local Chief Executives, alternative learning modes for classes at all levels in public and private schools shall likewise be implemented in these areas.

Agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.

The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.

In view of the continued heavy rainfall associated with the Southwest Monsoon, and upon the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), work in government offices and classes at all levels in the National Capital Region and the provinces of Zambales, Bataan, Bulacan, Pampanga, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Cavite, Batangas, Rizal, Laguna, and Quezon are hereby suspended on 13 August 2026, at 3:00 PM.

Agencies delivering basic and health services, disaster preparedness/response, and other vital services shall continue their operations. The suspension of work in private companies and offices is left to the discretion of their respective heads.

The Civil Service Commission hereby suspends the conduct of the Career Service Examination - Pen and Paper Test for Professional and Subprofessional Levels scheduled today, Sunday, August 9, 2026, in the following testing centers due to the prevailing weather conditions and their potential impact on the safety and accessibility of examinees, examination personnel, and other stakeholders:

National Capital Region:
All testing centers

Affected examinees are advised to monitor the official page of the concerned CSC Regional Office and the CSC's official communication channels for updates on the rescheduled examination and other related announcements.
