71 farmers and AEWs from Currimao, Pinili, Badoc and Nueva Era participated in the Capacity Building on Proper Collection of Soil Samples, Use of Soil Test Kit (STK) and Use of FertRight App for fertilizer recommendation.

The Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office I (DA-RFO I) alerts the public and our partners about reports involving a former Contract of Service (COS) worker who is no longer connected with the agency but has been misusing the names of DA-RFO I personnel, particularly from the Livestock Banner Program, to demand or collect money for alleged particular fee for DA-RFO I services.

Please be advised:
• DA-RFO I does NOT authorize any individual - current or former - to collect money or fees on behalf of the Department or its banner programs.
• All legitimate DA transactions follow official government procedures and are supported by proper documentation and official receipts.
• Any request for payment made by individuals claiming to represent DA-RFO I outside official channels is unauthorized and should be reported immediately.

We urge the public to remain vigilant and transact only with verified and currently employed DA-RFO I personnel. It’s a fruitful day for 20 farmers and LGU-Sual for attending the capacity building activities conducted by the Regional Soils Laboratory of DA-RFO 1, through the Mobile Soil Laboratory deployment. Farmers and AEWs were trained on proper soil sampling and preparation, soil testing using Soil Test Kits and calculation of Fertilizer Recommendations using the FertRight App. A tour of the Mobile Soil Laboratory was also conducted.
