Paulinian Election Commission of SPCIS HS The Paulinian Elections Commission of St. Paul College of Ilocos Sur - HS Department, otherwise known as PELECOM, is an initiative of CBS S.Y. 2014-2015.

SUB-COMMITTEES

The Paulinian Election Commission shall compose of different sub-committees which would focus on certain duties and responsibilities subsequently indicated. Section 1. Grievance Committee
This committee shall have an exclusive jurisdiction of all controversies related to the election of the student-leaders. Complaints and/or petitions should be submitted to the committee within twe

lve (12) hours after the verbal complaint. Only thereafter shall the committee take up the matter. The committee shall release the decision on the complaint within twenty-four (24) hours after the complaint or petition have been submitted. Section 2. Screening Committee. This committee shall facilitate the scrutiny of the candidates through their pertinent records and interviews. Section 3. Canvassing Committee
This committee shall facilitate the canvassing of votes. Section 4. Logistics Committee
This committee shall prepare the necessary materials needed for the election. Section 5. Activities and Campaign Committee
This committee shall supervise the campaign activities of the candidates.

With today's CBS elections clinching a general average of 4.0 which is "Very Satisfactory" in the evaluation, the members of the Paulinian Election Commission (PELECOM) would like to extend their thanks and congratulations to every High School Paulinian who took part in the said election.

The results are on the process of deliberation by the PELECOM and are to be announced soon. For the unopposed candidates, the PELECOM will announce the number of votes and the percentage which they obtained. Unopposed candidates with "50%+1" will immediately be declared winners.

Let's pray for the new set of CBS Officers for S.Y. 2015-2016 that they may be given wisdom, knowledge, understanding and zeal to carry out their responsibilities.

If you wish to run for a position in the Coordinating Board of Students, the PELECOM would like to remind you that the deadline of the submission of the Forms of Candidacy will be tomorrow (February 4, 2015) at exactly 5:30 PM. After 5:30 PM, the PELECOM shall not anymore accept Forms of Candidacy for the CBS Elections. Thank you and God bless!

UPDATE: As of now, there is still only one (1) partylist which has been formed since the start of the filing of candidacy. There are also four (4) candidates who declared themselves "independent candidates".

UPDATE: The PELECOM is extending the filing of candidacy for the upcoming CBS Elections until Wednesday only. The filing will be closed on Wednesday in view of the preparations for the CBS Elections. As of now, only one (1) party has been formed and there are only four (4) independent candidates. If you have the intent to further boost democracy in this year's elections, your honorable initiatives and actions are highly appreciated. Thank you! Caritas Christi Urget Nos!
