Our SPES Batch 1 of Barangay San Roque continue to inspire as they take part in Literacy Program 2026, generously sharing their time, knowledge, and passion with our young learners across different communities. 📚✨

At a young age, they have shown that true leadership is not defined by age, but by the willingness to serve, guide, and inspire others. Through their dedication, they are helping shape a generation that values education, responsibility, and community involvement.

This meaningful activity was held in Sitio Kabisayaan, Sitio Dapdap, Santikan, Boglake, and 3rd Street (Riverside), reaching out to various areas to ensure inclusive learning support for our children.

With the strong support of our Punong Barangay, Hon. Bebeth Macrohon, there was also a Distribution of School Supplies under BCPC Funds, aimed at supporting the educational needs of our young learners and helping them prepare better for school. 🎒✏️

Every lesson shared, every book opened, and every child encouraged is a meaningful step toward a brighter and more empowered future for Barangay San Roque. 💙

The Barangay Council of San Roque, headed by Punong Barangay Hon. Josiebelle A. Macrohon, invites all residents of Barangay San Roque to avail of the National ID registration services to be conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) on May 30, 2026 (Saturday), starting at 8:00 AM onwards at the San Roque Barangay Hall.

This initiative aims to bring government services closer to the community and provide residents with a convenient opportunity to register for the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys). The National ID serves as a valid proof of identity that can be used in various public and private transactions, helping improve access to government programs, financial services, healthcare, education, and other essential services.

All residents of Barangay San Roque who have not yet registered for their National ID are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity. Walk-in applicants will be accommodated.

Residents are advised to proceed to the venue on the scheduled date and time and follow the instructions of PSA personnel to ensure a smooth and orderly registration process.

𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐄: For senior citizens with mobility concerns, illness, disability, or difficulty traveling to the registration venue, relatives or family members may coordinate with the registration personnel on the day of the activity to request assistance and facilitate registration at the senior citizen’s residence, subject to the assessment and availability of the registration team.

The Barangay Council of San Roque, headed by Punong Barangay Hon. Josiebelle A. Macrohon, formally calls the attention of the identified beneficiaries of the Walang Gutom Program who failed to attend the Kalusugan, Kakayahan, at Kabuhayan (3K) Session for the month of April CY 2026.

All concerned individuals whose names are reflected in the official advisory are 𝐑𝐄𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐃 to appear on 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟖, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝟏:𝟎𝟎 𝐏𝐌 𝐭𝐨 𝟓:𝟎𝟎 𝐏𝐌 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐨𝐪𝐮𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐥 for the signing of the corresponding Warning Letter related to their non-attendance during the scheduled 3K Session.

The Barangay Council of San Roque, headed by Punong Barangay Hon. Josiebelle A. Macrohon, successfully supported and participated in the conduct of the Las Mujeres Socialization held on May 23, 2026, at San Roque Elementary School. The activity gathered women leaders, barangay representatives, local officials, and community stakeholders in a meaningful event aimed at strengthening women empowerment, camaraderie, and collaboration among participating barangays.

The event was graced by several distinguished guests and representatives from the local government and partner offices, namely Mayor Hon. Khymer Adan T. Olaso, represented by Executive Assistant Mr. Randy Bangcairin; District 1 City Congresswoman Hon. Katrina Reiko Chua-Tai, represented by Ms. Peelar Fornollera; Councilor Atty. Melchor Sadain; Councilor Atty. Gian Enriquez; and City Social Welfare and Development Officer Mrs. Socorro Rojas.

Macrohon, in partnership with San Roque Las Mujeres Association Inc., warmly invites all residents to participate in “Zumbarangay Sunday” on Sunday, May 24, 2026, starting at 7:00 AM onwards. The activity aims to promote an active and healthy lifestyle among residents through community-based fitness and wellness activities.

The program will serve as an avenue for residents to engage in physical exercise, strengthen community camaraderie, and encourage wellness awareness through fun and interactive Zumba sessions. The Barangay Government continues to support initiatives that promote physical health, mental well-being, and community participation among residents of all ages.

The Barangay Council of San Roque, headed by Punong Barangay Hon. Josiebelle A. Macrohon, successfully conducted the Operation Libreng Tuli on May 21, 2026, at the San Roque Barangay Hall. The activity served as a community health initiative aimed at providing free circumcision services to young residents of the barangay, promoting proper hygiene, healthcare awareness, and the well-being of children within the community.

The medical outreach program was made possible through the initiative and support of District 1 Congresswoman Hon. Katrina Reiko Chua-Tai, together with her dedicated staff and personnel, who continuously extend programs and services beneficial to the residents of the 1st District of Zamboanga City. The activity catered to numerous beneficiaries from Barangay San Roque and formed part of the continuing efforts to make essential healthcare services more accessible to the community.

The successful implementation of the program was made possible through the collaborative efforts and assistance of the partner agencies and organizations, particularly the Personnel of the 2nd Zamboanga City Mobile Force Company “Seaborne” Medical Team, 530th Air Base Group of the Philippine Air Force, PNP SAF 5th Special Action Battalion, and the Philippine Red Cross – Zamboanga City, who provided medical support, manpower, and assistance throughout the conduct of the activity.

The Barangay Government likewise expresses its sincere appreciation to the Barangay Health Workers of Barangay San Roque, headed by Public Health Midwife Mrs. Erlinda Marquez, for their invaluable service and commitment in ensuring the proper facilitation and monitoring of the beneficiaries during the operation.
