Heart to H.E.A.R.T. Talk is a youth-centered advocacy campaign designed to openly and responsibly address the real-life concerns faced by adolescents today. The acronym H.E.A.R.T. represents the core issues tackled during the session:
H – HIV & Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs)
E – Early Sexual Encounters
A – Adolescent Sexuality
R – Reproductive Health
T – Teenage Pregnancy
Through honest conversations, interactive discussions, and peer education, the activity aims to equip young people with accurate information, life skills, and values formation to help them make informed and responsible decisions.
Another batch of immersion students from Lambusan National High School, Argawanon National High School, San Remigio National High School, and Cebu Roosevelt Memorial Colleges actively participated in this meaningful initiative, showing strong support for adolescent health awareness.
The program was graced by our Municipal Administrator representing our supportive Municipal Mayor, Mariano Martinez, together with SK Federation President Stephan Isaac Baura. The session was facilitated by our Local Youth Development Officer Mr. Ronclarck P. Dagohoy and peer advocates from San Remigio Advocates and Leaders for Adolescent Health and Development (SALAHD), who continuously dedicate their time and expertise in guiding our youth.
We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Population Officer Designate and at the same time our Municipal Health Officer, Dr. Orleta B. Ursal, for her unwavering support and commitment to strengthening adolescent reproductive health programs in our municipality.
Held in celebration of Love Month, this activity promotes not only love in its romantic sense but responsible love, self-respect, and informed decision-making. Through Heart to H.E.A.R.T. Talk, we continue to empower the youth of San Remigio to become healthy, responsible, and resilient individuals. 💙
