SDO San Pablo City Celebrates World Teachers’ Day 2026 with Recognition, Talent Showcase, and Exciting Prizes
San Pablo City, Laguna, October 2, 2026 – The Schools Division Office (SDO) of San Pablo City celebrated World Teachers’ Day 2026 with a grand gathering at the San Pablo Convention Center, bringing together educators, school leaders, LGU Officials headed by the acting Mayor Carmela Acebedo, and personnel in a day filled with appreciation, entertainment, and recognition. Anchored on the theme “Teacher, Ikaw Naman,” the event highlighted the invaluable contributions of teachers in shaping the future of learners and communities as they give honor to teaching and non-teaching personnel with their 30 years of service.
Gracing the event was Paul Michael Cuadra, who represented Congressman Amben Amante. He gave his message of greetings to the teachers.
The celebration served as a well-deserved tribute to educators whose dedication and passion continue to inspire excellence in teaching and learning across the division. Participants enjoyed an exciting lineup of activities designed to honor teachers and promote camaraderie among education professionals.
One of the most anticipated highlights of the event was the grand raffle draw, where lucky attendees won substantial cash prizes. The top raffle winners took home ₱50,000.00, ₱30,000.00, and ₱20,000.00, adding excitement and joy to the celebration.
The program also featured the much-awaited School Heads Got Talent competition, showcasing the creativity, artistry, and talents of school leaders beyond their administrative roles.
Emerging as the Champion was Ferdinand Castillo, whose moving spoken poetry and interpretative dance performance captivated both judges and audience members. Claiming Second Place was Ma. Delia Del Rosario, who impressed the crowd with her dynamic song, drum, and dance presentation; meanwhile, Dianne San Juan secured Third Place with her outstanding vocal performance.
The celebration became more colorful with the special number of the newly installed SDS, Hereberto Jose D. Miranda,CESO V, in his rendition of "Doon Lang", while CID Chief, Vincent Emmanuel L. Ilagan sang "Kamusta Ka Na"; ASDS Marbin Jeramil D. Fragata, joined by SGOD Chief Anna Liza Banayo, select school heads, and SDO personnel, presented a dance number to the delight of the audience.
The celebration reflected the division's commitment to recognizing teachers and school leaders not only for their professional achievements but also for their talents, creativity, and unwavering dedication to education.
As the World Teachers’ Day celebration concluded, participants left the venue inspired and appreciated, carrying with them the message of this year’s theme, “Teacher, Ikaw Naman,” a reminder that educators deserve to be celebrated for the profound impact they make in the lives of learners and the community.
