It's a wrap!!!

To finally end our 2022 Nutrition Month Celebration with a BANG..,
The Barangay Nutrition Scholar Federation headed by President Teresa Alimagno in coordination with the CPO Nutrition Division conducted the Ms. BNS 2022 and hosted by our City Information Officer Enrico "Gali" Galicia.
The Contest was participated by 7 beautiful and talented BNSs representing their districts Ambray, Dapdapan, Del Remedio, Fule Almeda, Lakeside, San Francisco and Sto. Angel. Through this contest, these BNSs were able to showcase their wit, poise and talent.
Winners are as follows:
1st Place - Jorvin "Angel" Alcantara - Ambray District
2nd Place - Nikka Landicho - San Francisco District
3rd Place - Arlene Fedrizo - Lakeside District

The 2022 Nutrition Quiz Contest was held this morning at Pamana Hall, with 13 Grade VI students from different public schools as participants. This is in line with the 48th Annual Nutrition Month Celebration with this year's theme: "NEW NORMAL NA NUTRISYON, SAMA-SAMANG GAWAN NG SOLUSYON!"
This year's contest winners are:
1st Place - Jewel Grace C. Donato - Guerilla ES (P3,000.00 from Emerald Lions Club)
2nd Place - Bernice Nonelanne F. Padayao - San Roque ES (P2,000.00 from Emerald Lions Club)
3rd Place - Andrea Freyce Alcantara - San Pablo Central School (P1,000.00 from Emerald Lions Club)
Non winners will also receive P500.00 each from the City Government (included in the Nutrition Month Payroll)

As part of the 2022 Nutrition Month Celebration, the City Population Office through its Nutrition Division together with the Rotary Club of San Pablo City conducted the Urban Container Gardening Contest to different barangays. This is in connection with the Seminar on Container Gardening held last April 26, 2022 to different urban barangay councilors.

The Contest Winners are as follows:
1st Place - Barangay VI-E (P3,000.00)
2nd Place - Barangay III-E (P2,000.00)
3rd Place - Barangay VII-A (P1,000.00)
Above prizes are sponsored by Rotary Club of San Pablo City.
Non-winners will also receive P500.00 each from the City Government (included in the Nutrition Month payroll)

City Nutrition Action Officer/NO IV Faith A. Tirones, PPO IV Stella O. Romero and NO III Joy T. Castillo were invited at PSA-San Pablo to act as resource speakers and judges in today's program as part of PSA's Annual Nutrition Month Celebration highlighting this year's theme "NEW NORMAL NA NUTRISYON, SAMA-SAMANG GAWAN NG SOLUSYON!"

The recently concluded BNS Cooking Contest was participated by the 7 groups/district of San Pablo City namely Ambray, Dapdapan, Del Remedio, Fule Almeda, Lakeside, San Francisco and Sto. Angel.
The Contest was divided in two (2) category which is the Main Dish and Dessert. This was judged by Hon. Angie Yang, Madam Gem Castillo and Madam Sara Manilay (represented by Jesusa Juanillo)

WINNERS for MAIN DISH and DESSERT CATEGORY:
1st (MD) LAKESIDE DISTRICT - Picadillo Tilapia
1st (D) DEL REMEDIO DISTRICT - Bright Eyescream
winning P3,000 from the City Gov't and P1,500 from SPC Host Lions Club
2nd (MD) STO. ANGEL DISTRICT - Pininyahang Tilapia
2nd (D) STO. ANGEL DISTRICT - Turon de Buko Pandan
winning P2,000 from the City Gov't and P1,000 from SPC Host Lions Club
3rd (MD) AMBRAY DISTRICT - Tilapia balls
3rd (D) LAKESIDE DISTRICT - Rootcrops Salad
winning P1,000 from the City Gov't and P500 from SPC Host Lions Club
Non winners will receive P500 each from the City Gov't and P250 each from the SPC Host Lions Club

A special bonus of P6,000 for each district was given, courtesy of Madam Gem Castillo and Madam Sara Manilay for the BNS efforts and preparations.
Indeed, it was a successful and unforgetable event for our Barangay Nutrition Scholars for they are all considered winners.

2022 Drawing Contest

As part of our annual Nutrition Month Celebration, the City Population Office through its Nutrition Division, headed by CNAO Faith Tirones together with the able support of Kiwanis Club of Lake City conducted the 2022 Drawing Contest highlighting this year's NM theme "NEW NORMAL NA NUTRISYON, SAMA-SAMANG GAWAN NG SOLUSYON"
This contest was participated by twelve (12) Grade 5 students from different public schools, representing 6 districts namely Ambray, Del Remedio, Fule Almeda, Lakeside, San Francisco and Sto Angel (Dapdapan-no entry)
The judges were:
Hon. Christian Dior Amante - City Councilor
Mr. Rexon Tubigan - Draftsman CEO
Mr. Pius Ladao - President-elect, Kiwanis Club of Lake City
The Drawing contest winners are as follows:

The City Population Office through its Nutrition Division (headed by CNAO Faith A. Tirones) in partnership with DSWD, Rotary Club of San Pablo Central and Rotary Club of Silangan San Pablo conducted the A1 CHILD CONTEST "Batang kumpleto sa nutrisyon, malusog, bibo at may laban"

This was participated by 7 male kids and 5 female kids, ages 3 years old to 4 years and 11 months old from different Day Care Centers in San Pablo City.
These kids were judged by:
Dr. Mercydina Caponpon (Asst. City Health Officer)
Dr. Maria Blesilda Reyes (Dentist II, CHO)
Ms. Renelyn Coronado (Genuine President of Rotary Club, SPC Central)

The City Population Office through its Nutrition Division (headed by CNAO Faith Tirones) through the invitation of Ms Jocelyn Fetalcurin, registered Nutritionist Dietitian of the the South-Central Luzon Conference/Seventh Day Adventist conducted a seminar on "Nutrition is a Medicine" as part of our 2022 Nutrition Month Celebration.
This was participated by City Nutrition Committee Members and it's Technical Working Group, Barangay Nutrition Action Officers (Councilor in Health & Nutrition), Civic Organizations like Red Cross, Emerald Lions Club, Kiwanis Club of Lake City, Rotary Club of San Pablo City, Rotary Club of SPC Central and Rotaract of SPC among others.
Our resource speaker is Dr. Jade Hintay, NPUC Health Director
