As we continue to explore the rich and flavorful world of Filipino cuisine this April, we journey to San Narciso, Zambales to feature a humble yet beloved local dish—Adobong Sili Beddeng.

Rooted in tradition and community, this dish is commonly enjoyed during the first months of the year, coinciding with the harvest season in Barangay Beddeng. Through intercropping, farmers produce an abundant supply of sili Beddeng, making it affordable and accessible to many households—truly a reflection of sustainable living and local ingenuity.

What makes this dish special is its simplicity. Unlike the usual adobo that uses soy sauce or bagoong, Adobong Sili Beddeng highlights the natural flavor of fresh chili—small, slightly wrinkled (kulobot), firm, and surprisingly mild in taste. When simmered in vinegar and spices, the sili absorbs the rich, tangy adobo flavor while keeping its texture—resulting in a dish that is savory, aromatic, and uniquely Zambaleño.

Isang matagumpay at masaganang ani mula sa Corn Banner Program. Patunay na sa tamang suporta at sipag ng ating mga magsasaka, may masaganang ani at patuloy na pag-unlad.

Ang programang ito ay bahagi ng aming tuloy-tuloy na layunin na palawakin at patibayin ang industriya ng pagmamais sa bayan ng San Narciso.

𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗠𝗨𝗟𝗔𝗚 𝗙𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗔𝗟 2026 | 𝗭𝗔𝗠𝗕𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗦 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗚𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗡𝗦 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗢 𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗨𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗬 𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛 𝗙𝗔𝗥𝗠𝗘𝗥𝗦' 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠

Isinagawa ang Mango Industry Training noong April 11, 2026 sa Batungbacal Farms, Palauig, Zambales bilang bahagi ng pagdiriwang ng Dinamulag Festival at patuloy na pagsuporta sa pagpapaunlad ng industriya ng mangga sa lalawigan.

Dinaluhan ito ng mga opisyal at stakeholders mula sa iba’t ibang bayan ng Zambales, kabilang ang mga Municipal Agriculturists, Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs), mga mango growers, at orchard owners. Nakibahagi rin ang mga kinatawan mula sa San Narciso.

Tampok sa programa ang serye ng lectures at hands-on activities na nakatuon sa orchard management, pruning techniques, fertilization, paggamit ng paclobutrazol (PACLO), at postharvest handling.

Layunin ng pagsasanay na mapataas ang ani at mapabuti ang kalidad ng mangga sa lalawigan, bilang bahagi ng patuloy na pagpapalakas ng sektor ng agrikultura.
