The Municipality of San Miguel officially opened the Municipal Meet 2026, bringing together talented and passionate student-athletes from different elementary and high schools across the municipality.

The opening ceremony was made more meaningful through the inspiring message of our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Antonio T. Teves, who reaffirmed the continued support of the Local Government Unit of San Miguel in promoting sports development and empowering our young athletes.

What a thrilling showcase of skill, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship! The recently concluded Sepak Takraw Tournament โ€“ Open Category and San Miguel Only Category has officially wrapped up as part of the Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 celebration under the Kabataan Olympics Program!

From powerful kicks and impressive spikes to strategic plays and unwavering teamwork, our young athletes gave their all on the court and proved that the spirit of competition is also about friendship, respect, and camaraderie.

The Open Category brought together talented players from different communities, while the San Miguel Only Category highlighted the passion and homegrown talent of our very own San Migueleรฑo youth. Both categories showed that when young people are given opportunities to participate, compete, and grow, they can truly rise to the occasion.

Beyond the medals and victories, this tournament reminds us that sports are a powerful platform for youth developmentโ€”building confidence, discipline, leadership, teamwork, and meaningful connections among young people.
