50th National Intellectual Disability Week
(Proclamation No. 1385, S. 1975)
Theme: “Ginintuang Ani ng Pag-ibig tungo sa Matagumpay at Tunay na Inklusyon”
February 14–20, 2026

The Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO) – San Miguel, Bulacan proudly joins the nation in celebrating the 50th National Intellectual Disability Week, pursuant to Proclamation No. 1385, S. 1975. This golden milestone marks five decades of continuous advocacy, awareness, and action in promoting the rights, dignity, and full participation of persons with intellectual disabilities in our society.

With this year’s theme, “Ginintuang Ani ng Pag-ibig tungo sa Matagumpay at Tunay na Inklusyon,” we are reminded that genuine love, compassion, and understanding are the seeds that grow into meaningful inclusion. Through collective efforts of families, educators, local government units, partner agencies, and the community, we continue to cultivate opportunities where persons with intellectual disabilities are empowered, valued, and given equal access to education, employment, healthcare, and social services.

In the Municipality of San Miguel, we reaffirm our strong commitment to building an inclusive community where no one is left behind. We recognize the talents, abilities, and unique contributions of individuals with intellectual disabilities. Their resilience, determination, and inspiring stories remind us that inclusion is not just a program—but a responsibility and a shared mission.

As we celebrate this significant week, let us strengthen our partnerships, eliminate discrimination, and promote acceptance in every barangay. Together, let us harvest the “golden fruits” of love by ensuring that inclusion becomes a lived reality for all.

The PDAO San Miguel Bulacan calls on everyone to support activities, spread awareness, and advocate for equal rights and opportunities for persons with intellectual disabilities.
