In an overwhelmingly majority of votes by the Isabela State University Board of Regents (ISU BOR), Prof. Boyet L. Batang, PhD ascends the helm of leadership as he is proclaimed President-Elect of the University. The selection was made during a special board meeting held today, March 20, at Zen Hotel, Santiago City.
Prof. Batang will replace outgoing President, Dr. Ricmar P. Aquino, whose eight-year term is set to end on May 19, 2025.
The transition will usher in a new chapter of leadership and commitment to academic excellence, research, and innovation at ISU. As the President-Elect, Prof. Batang brings with him experience and a vision for the future of the University, ensuring that the institution continues to demonstrate quality education, research, and community service in the region.
Throughout his service in ISU, Prof. Batang has demonstrated leadership, fostered collaborations, implemented programs, and advocated for academic advancements. His tenure as University President is expected to introduce innovative policies and initiatives that will further strengthen ISUβs position as a premier academic institution.
The ISU community extends its congratulations to President-Elect Batang as he takes on the significant role.
