Kinayabidu is a traditional elevated house built primarily from locally sourced and sustainable materials such as hardwood, bamboo, rattan, bahi, anahaw and anibong. Raised on sturdy wooden posts, it provides protection from floods, wild animals, and insects while allowing air to circulate beneath the structure, keeping the interior cool in the tropical climate.

The house is constructed using traditional Indigenous building techniques that rely on wooden pegs, rattan lashings, and intricate joinery rather than metal nails. This demonstrates the community's extensive knowledge of natural materials and environmentally sustainable construction methods.

The interior of the Kinayabidu is designed as a communal living space where family members gather for daily activities such as cooking, weaving, storytelling, and resting. It also serves as a venue for important cultural practices, including family discussions, traditional ceremonies, and the transmission of Indigenous knowledge from elders to younger generations.

Symbolically, the Kinayabidu represents unity, resilience, and harmony with nature. Every component of the house reflects the Indigenous people's respect for the environment, as materials are harvested responsibly and replaced through sustainable practices. The structure embodies the values of cooperation, community, and cultural continuity.

Today, the Kinayabidu is not only a traditional residence but also an important cultural heritage structure that showcases the architectural ingenuity and living traditions of the Indigenous Peoples of San Luis. It serves as an educational and tourism attraction, allowing visitors to appreciate the history, customs, and sustainable way of life of the Indigenous communities.

The Panawagtawag is a sacred ritual practiced by Manobo and other indigenous groups in San Luis. It is performed to call upon and seek guidance, protection, and blessings from spirits and deities before important community activities, celebrations or projects.

Led by a Baylan or a tribal spiritual leader, the ritual often includes prayers, chants, offerings such as betel nut, food or animals, and traditional music or dance.

The Panawagtawag reflects the deep spiritual connection of the indigenous people with nature, their ancestors, and the unseen world.
