𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐄𝐑 𝐀𝐃𝐕𝐈𝐒𝐎𝐑𝐘: 𝟔𝟎-𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐙𝐄
Pursuant to Resolution No. 96, Series of 2026, declaring a State of Calamity in the Municipality of Bagulin, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) La Union Provincial Office informs consumers and business establishments that an automatic price freeze is now in effect on all basic necessities in the said municipality.
The price freeze will remain in effect for sixty (60) days, from July 1, 2026 to August 30, 2026 , unless sooner lifted by the Mayor. This measure aims to protect consumers, maintain stable prices, and prevent undue price increases during this period of calamity.

On July 27, 2026, the Municipality of Bagulin took a significant step toward economic empowerment and community transformation with the official launching of its Negosyo Center (NC) at the Municipal Hall, Bagulin, La Union. This landmark initiative signals a new era of opportunity for local entrepreneurs and MSMEs, positioning Bagulin as a hub of innovation and enterprise in La Union.
The ceremony opened with heartfelt acknowledgments and warm welcome remarks from Vice Mayor Jaime A. Lictao. In her commitment message, Acting Provincial Director Victoria A. Ordoño highlighted the NC’s role as a catalyst for inclusive growth and reaffirmed the Department of Trade and Industry’s dedication to nurturing MSMEs, while Regional Director Merlie D. Membrere underscored the transformative power of entrepreneurship in uplifting communities and driving regional development. Echoing this vision, Mayor Virgilio C. Flor emphasized Bagulin’s readiness to embrace progress and strengthen its economic foundations.
