As part of its mandate, the Commission on Audit (COA), headed by Team Leader Sir Tom, conducted a surprise cash count in our office yesterday. Our Disbursing Officer was selected for the cash count. This procedure underscores COA’s vital role in strengthening transparency, accountability, and integrity in the management of public funds.

🧾 BASIC REAL PROPERTY TAX (Basic Tax)
👉 Pangunahing buwis sa lupa at gusali
👉 Ginagamit para sa serbisyo ng LGU tulad ng:
• Serbisyong pangkalusugan
• Pundo para sa mga libreng serbisyo
• Sweldo ng mga kawani
• Kalsada at iba pang imprastraktura
• Iba pang programang panlipunan

📚 SPECIAL EDUCATION TAX (SEF)
👉 Karagdagang 1% buwis na para sa edukasyon lamang
👉 Ginagamit sa:
• Pagpapatayo at pagkukumpuni ng paaralan
• Kagamitang pang-eskwela
• Programang pang-edukasyon
• Allowances ng mga volunteer teachers and personnel (aprubado ng Local School Board)

📌 TANDAAN:
✔️ Magkasabay binabayaran ang Basic Tax at SEF
✔️ Magkaiba ang pondo at paggagamitan
✔️ Parehong may penalty kapag late ang bayad
