The Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO) conducted a planning workshop for the formulation of the Local Poverty Reduction Action Plan (LPRAP) on June 11, 2026, at the MPDO Conference Hall.
The activity gathered key stakeholders to assess the current poverty situation in the municipality, identify priority needs, and develop appropriate interventions and development strategies aimed at addressing poverty at the local level.
Municipal Administrator, Ruzziel S. Ladaga-Cuisia, attended the workshop, together with Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator, EnP. Joseph E. Salgado, and the members of the Local Poverty Reduction Action Committee (LPRAC), The committee included representatives from Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and various sectoral groups.
A strong emphasis was placed on the participation of CSO representatives, whose insights, inputs, and recommendations significantly contributed to the identification of priority programs and projects. Their engagement ensured that the proposed interventions reflect the actual needs and conditions of communities.
The Local Poverty Reduction Action Plan (LPRAP) is being developed through a planning process that strengthens collaboration between the local government and civil society. Once finalized, the plan will serve as a comprehensive guide for poverty reduction initiatives in the municipality, aligned with the standards of the National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC) and Republic Act No. 11291, also known as the Magna Carta for the Poor.
