In bolstering its wage awareness campaign of the newly approved Wage Orders in Western Visayas, the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-VI is pleased to inform you that they will be conducting a virtual WAGE CLINIQUE on 10 December 2025 at 9:00 AM.

This online activity aims to inform the general public on the salient features of the new wage rates in the region and important topics such as the application process for wage exemption and possible occurrences of wage distortions in enterprises.

DOLE ISSUES GUIDELINES ON THE PAYMENT OF 13TH MONTH PAY
The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Regional Office 6 reminds employers from the private sector across Western Visayas, to ensure the timely release of the employees' 13th month pay on or before December 24, in accordance with Presidential Decree 851 and the Labor Code of the Philippines.
Labor and Employment Secretary Bienvenido E. Laguesma issued Labor Advisory No. 16, s. 2025 for the guidelines of the payment of the 13th month pay.
Regional Director, Atty. Sixto T. Rodriguez, Jr., emphasized that all rank-and-file employees, regardless of their position, employment status, or method of wage payment, are entitled to this benefit, provided they have worked for at least one month during the calendar year.
Employers have the obligation to grant the 13th month pay, which amounts to one-twelfth (1/12) of an employee’s total basic salary earned within the calendar year as a mandatory benefit.
Under the law, the employees in the private sector who are qualified of the benefit are the rank-and-file workers regardless of their position, employment status, or wage payment method; employees paid on piece-rate basis or those receiving a fixed or guaranteed wage plus commission; workers with multiple employers; workers who resigned, were terminated, or were on maternity leave but earned wages during the year; and those workers who received salary differential.
The 13th month pay should be no less than one-twelfth (1/12) of an employee's total basic salary earned during the calendar year. Employers may choose to release the benefit in two installments: one in mid-year and the other in December, ensuring that the full amount is paid before December 24.
Atty. Rodriguez reminded employers that the timely release of mandatory benefits is not only a legal obligation but also a reflection of responsible business practices.

The Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC), an attached agency of the Department of Labor and Employment invites you or your technical staff to the “40-Hour Fundamentals of Industrial Hygiene Online Training Course” on October 13 to 17, 2025 through the Zoom Online Platform. This seminar is offered free of charge.

This training workshop is designed to provide an introductory course outlining the broad principles of Industrial Hygiene as the basis for anticipation, recognition, evaluation and control of various health hazards that may be present in the working environment.

Our target participants are industrial hygienists, occupational health and safety professionals (including physicians and nurses) and other professionals in the field of chemistry, engineering or with specialization on acoustics, ergonomics, and human factors biosafety, who want a wide-ranging appreciation of how their role interfaces with other professions over health issues in the workplace.

Potential participants must have attended the Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) Training or Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) Training as a prerequisite to the course.

2. Ceremonial release of stipend to batch 1 GIP Interns of LGU Patnongon for the period 16-31 August 2025;

3. Kadiwa ng Pangulo at San Jose Business Park;

4. TUPAD Pay Out at Barbaza, Antique;

5. TUPAD Pay Out at LGU Sibalom, Antique with 2, 809 beneficiaries; and

6. TUPAD Pay Out at LGU San Jose, Antique with 1, 530 beneficiaries/bmr
