SSG-SJ General Assembly Part II.

The Supreme Student Government–San Jose (SSG-SJ) successfully concluded its First General Assembly for Academic Year 2026–2027 yesterday, September 11, 2026, at the OMSU–San Jose Campus Gymnasium.

The General Assembly served as a meaningful avenue for student representatives from different sections of the College of Teacher Education (CTE), Midwifery Department, and Information Technology (IT) Department to come together, exchange ideas, raise concerns, and discuss important institutional matters, including student rights, responsibilities, relevant laws and policies, and other concerns affecting the student body, while strengthening communication, coordination, and collaboration across the San Jose Campus.

On the same day, the Supreme Student Government–Federation formally introduced its newly elected officers, media officers, and advisers, followed by the presentation of its Action Plan and proposed Constitution and By-Laws, outlining its direction, responsibilities, and framework for effective student governance and representation. While the Supreme Student Government–San Jose Campus (SSG-SJ) formally introduced and recognized its newly elected officers, committee heads, committee members, and advisers, acknowledging their respective roles and responsibilities in serving and representing the student body.

The assembly marked an important step toward fostering a more informed, participative, and united student body, re-affirming the commitment of the SSG-SJ and student leaders to listen to students, uphold their rights and welfare, and work together toward a more responsive and inclusive campus community. Together, let us continue to build a campus where every student is heard, represented, and empowered to take part in shaping our shared future.

The 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 – 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 (𝐒𝐒𝐆-𝐒𝐉) will conduct its 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲 in a 𝐡𝐲𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐝 𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 on 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, from 𝟏:𝟎𝟎 𝐏𝐌 to 𝟓:𝟎𝟎 𝐏𝐌 at the 𝐎𝐌𝐒𝐔–𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐆𝐲𝐦𝐧𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐮𝐦.

The General Assembly aims to serve as a venue for the presentation of the SSG-SJ's programs, projects, and activities for the First Semester of Academic Year 2026–2027, as well as to gather the concerns, suggestions, and recommendations of the student body.

Attendance is required for all departmental organizational officers and all classroom officers—from President to Auditor—through face-to-face participation. Students who have no scheduled classes during the said date and time are highly encouraged to attend the assembly virtually.

We are proud to share that the Supreme Student Government – San Jose Campus has been officially accredited by the Student Affairs and Services (SAS) for Academic Year 2026–2027!

We extend our thanks to our advisers, Mr. Genesis A. Ysibido and Ms. Rica Abigail Dagos-Ogot, officers, and the entire SSG SJ family for continuously proving what genuine service to our fellow OMSUans truly means.

May we remain committed to serve with dedication, unity, and purpose for the betterment of our institution and student body. Thank you for your continued trust and support; the SSG SJ is beyond grateful!

The Supreme Student Government–San Jose (SSG-SJ) successfully concluded its first Consultative Assembly today, September 2, 2026, at the San Jose Campus Gymnasium.

The Consultative Assembly served as a meaningful avenue for student representatives and leaders to come together, exchange ideas, raise concerns, and strengthen coordination among the different departments of the San Jose Campus. One of the primary objectives of the assembly was to convene and finalize the members of the SSG-SJ Standing Committees, composed of representatives from various departments. These committees are expected to play an essential role in ensuring effective coordination, organized implementation, and efficient transactions of the SSG-SJ throughout Academic Year 2026–2027.

The assembly was attended by student representatives from different sections of the College of Teacher Education (CTE), Midwifery Department, and Information Technology (IT) Department, providing an opportunity for different student sectors to actively participate in discussions concerning student governance and campus affairs.

The SSG-SJ also utilized the assembly as an avenue to inform and orient the student body regarding upcoming activities and initiatives, including the Special Elections for local student organizations with vacant positions and the General Assembly, which is expected to be held on September 11, 2026.

Furthermore, the assembly introduced the proposed establishment of new student clubs and organizations designed to promote inclusivity, representation, support, and meaningful student participation. These include the Indigenous Peoples (IP) Club, Solo Parents Club or Children of Solo Parents Club, Persons with Disabilities (PWD) Club, LGBTQIA+ Club, and Children of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) Club.

With the collective involvement of student leaders and representatives, the SSG-SJ looks forward to building a more responsive, organized, and empowered student community for A.Y. 2026–2027.

The 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 – 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 successfully conducted 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐛𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 yesterday, August 27, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the OMSU San Jose Campus Gymnasium! This event was a celebration of new beginnings, welcoming our freshmen with open arms and warmly greeting our returning students as we officially kicked off Academic Year 2026–2027. From new faces to familiar smiles, the unity and spirit of care that SSG San Jose is known for were truly felt.

‎The lively march by our College Marching Band kicked things off with excitement and energy, escorting our first-year students through their Freshman Walk. It was a warm and welcoming way to start the program.
‎
‎We were also graced by the inspiring Welcome Remarks of our Campus Director, Dr. Maricris M. Usita, followed by an encouraging message from our SAS Coordinator, Ma'am Paciencia C. Advincula. Their words set the tone for a hopeful year ahead.
‎
The event proceeded with the Introduction of Faculty and Staff, headed by their Dean and Program Heads. We are beyond grateful for your presence and continued support!
‎
‎Next was the Introduction of Organizational Officers, proudly presented by their respective advisers, showing the strong guidance and support behind every student organization on our campus.
‎
The SSG-SJ Governor, Hon. Angelica Mae B. Dispo, also delivered her heartfelt message, warmly welcoming the students and inspiring everyone to embrace the new school year with enthusiasm and unity.
‎
‎The night wouldn't have been complete without an electrifying Live Band performance! Special thanks to IT PAC Band for their colorful and lively performance that brought so much joy to everyone. And to our fellow students who joined, danced, and jammed along, thank you for making the night even more alive. That's the true spirit of Salubong: a joyful gathering as one family.

‎We were also honored to witness the Official Commencement of Academic Year 2026–2027, led by Dr. Veronica C. Ferrer, marking the official start of another meaningful year ahead.

‎And to end the night with a bang, the Fireworks Display lit up the San Jose Campus sky! Special thanks to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) for ensuring everyone's safety on standby throughout this part of the program and to Mr. Erwin S. Balledo, "Sir Noy," for his invaluable help in making this spectacular finale possible.

‎To our students, officers, faculty, and staff, thank you so much! Your presence, support, and active participation made Salubong 2026 truly meaningful and memorable. The SSG–San Jose Campus is beyond grateful for everyone who took part in this celebration.
