3rd CFIDP-RIATC COORDINATION MEETING HOLDS IN SAN JOSE, ANTIQUE.
The Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan—Regional Inter-agency Technical Working Group Committee (CFIDP-RIATC) 6 conducts its 3rd Monthly Coordination Meeting on April 15, 2024, at the Old Capitol Building, San Jose, Antique.
The activity highlighted the approval of the Hamtic Coconut Farmers Marketing Cooperative as the beneficiary of the upcoming establishment of an Oil Mill Facility in the Province of Antique.
Regional Manager III, Dr. Neil J. Melencion, said, “Luckily, we now have the coco levy support under the R.A. 11524, fifteen (15) government agencies are coordinating and converging to support and uplift the coconut farmers, not only for their welfare and help with their financial aspects but also on how to process and improve the industry." He also added, “The Local Government of Antique is very supportive of developing the coconut industry in Antique.”
Moreover, representatives from various CFIDP Implementing Agencies such as, Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA), the Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PHilMech), the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), the National Dairy Authority (NDA), and the Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP), showcased their recent accomplishments as well as their issues and concerns encountered during the implementation of the CFIDP projects.
The meeting was also graced by Hon. Engr. Edgar D. Denosta, Vice Governor of the Province of Antique.
