Look:

MEP Group Occidental Mindoro personnel together with CGS Occidental Mindoro and other OPCON unit personnel rendered assistance to the people visited the cemetery in connection with the celebration of "All Saints’ Day and All Souls' Day" at San Roque Cemetery, Barangay San Roque II, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro.

Further, MEP Group Occidental Mindoro also conducted coastal monitoring and Baywatch patrol.

𝙇𝙤𝙤𝙠: The Marine Environmental Protection Group Occidental Mindoro together with Coast Guard Station Occidental Mindoro and other OPCON units personnel joined in the Simultaneous Multi-Agency Send-off Ceremony and Turnover of Security Forces and Resources at Occidental Mindoro Police Provincial Office, Brgy San Roque, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro today 25 October 2023.

The said activity posture the unwavering commitment and vital role of various government units of the Province of Occidental Mindoro that will be deployed during Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Election 2023 for maintaining and ensuring safe, fair, peaceful and orderly election process.

On 28 September 2023, the Marine Environmental Protection Group Occidental Mindoro together with Coast Guard Station Occidental Mindoro, other OPCON units and 506th PCGA Squadron participated and rendered assistance during the conduct of Medical-Dental Mission and Feeding and Gift Giving Activity organized by Barangayanihan Incorporated held at San Jose Municipal Plaza, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro.

The said activity would not only enhance the physical well-being but also create a positive and lasting impact on the lives of the beneficiaries.

The Marine Environmental Protection Group Occidental Mindoro conducted Mangrove Planting Activity together with CGS Occidental Mindoro, CGSS San Jose and other Operational Controlled (OpCon) Units, PNP-MPS San Jose, PNP-MARIG San Jose and Alpha Kappa Rho Fraternity and Sorrority at River Basin of Caguray River, Barangay Caguray, Magsaysay, Occidental Mindoro today, 23 September 2023.

This activity is in line with the Maritime Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANA MO) Celebration 2023.

The participants were able to plant five hundred (500) mangrove propagules with an area covered of eight hundred (800) meters.

MEP Group Occidental Mindoro participated in the conduct of coastal clean-up activity along the shorelines of Barangay Caminawit, San Jose and Barangays 7,2,5 and 9 in Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro in connection with the International Coastal Clean-up with the theme "Clean Seas for Healthy Fisheries" and Maritime Archipelagic Awareness Month (MANA MO) Celebration 2023, with the theme of this year’s “Kapuluan, Kabuluhan, Kaunlaran” (Archipelago, Significance, Development)

These activities are celebrated annually every month of September and pursuant to Presidential Proclamation 613 series of 2017 signed by former Pres. Rodrigo R. Duterte in observance of several maritime-related activities including National Maritime Week and Fish Conservation Week.

The activity was also participated by the different government agencies and non-government organizations and stakeholders.

On 13 September 2023, MEP Group Occidental Mindoro personnel together with CGS Occidental Mindoro and other OPCON units personnel participated in the conduct of tree planting activity in celebration of the "Philippine Bamboo Month" organized by DENR-CENRO San Jose held at Sitio Naitan, Brgy. Batasan, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro.

The activity also coincides with the natal day of His Execellency President Ferdinand "B**g B**g" R. Marcos Jr. to support his socio-economic agenda with a tagline: Love For All: Lingap at Alagang Bayanihan".

The participants were able to plant two hundred (200) bamboo trees.

On 11 September 2023, MEP Group Occidental Mindoro personnel participated in the Serbisyo Caravan held at Sitio Kalangigan, Brgy. Harrison, Paluan, Occidental Mindoro.

The Serbisyo Caravan aims to deliver basic services of the government to the communities located in the geographically isolated and disadvantage areas in support to the NTF-ELCAC Programs.

During the caravan, the motorbanca owners and operators registered their motorbancas thru Safety, Security and Environmental Numbering System (SSEN) of the PCG.

The Marine Environmental Protection Group Occidental Mindoro conducted a land-based inspection at MAP 2000 Terminals Incorporated/ Filoil Logistics Corporation Depot at Barangay Caminawit, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro.

The inspection aims to make the facility comply with all MEP regulations and other environmental laws. Further, it also aims to solidify and strengthen the relationship between PCG and stakeholders.

14 July 2023, Marine Environmental Protection Group Occidental Mindoro personnel together with Coast Guard Station Occidental Mindoro, Coast Guard Sub-Station San Jose, Coast Guard Special Operations Group, Maritime Safety Services Office and Coast Guard K9 personnel participated in the 3rd and final day of the National Disaster Resilience Month 2023 Capability Demonstration and Knowledge Exhibit held at San Jose Municipal Plaza, Brgy. Poblacion, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro.

12 July 2023, MEP Group Occidental Mindoro personnel together with CGS Occidental Mindoro, CGSS Sablayan, CGSOG, and CGK9 personnel participated in the 2nd day of the National Disaster Resilience Month 2023 Capability Demonstration and Knowledge Exhibit held at Sablayan Public Plaza, Brgy. Buenavista, Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro.

The said event aims to give an in-depth knowledge pertaining to five (5) PCG core functions especially Marine Environmental Protection. Further, MEP Group Occidental Mindoro personnel discussed the basic oil spill response materials and equipment and their uses.

The activity was organized by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council with Governor Eduardo B Gadiano as Chairman thru the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office of Occidental Mindoro and was participated by the different member agencies such as BFP, DOST, PPDO, ENRO and MDRRMO's of the different Municipalities.
