"BAKA HUMAN TRAFFICKING NA YAN?!" Series #5:
WORK ABROAD PERO WALA PANG KONTRATA?

Makialam! I-timbre mo! Tumawag sa 1343 Actionline against Human Trafficking!

I-dial ang 1343 kung kayo ay nasa Metro Manila, o (02) 1343 kung nasa labas ng Metro Manila.

Maaari ring mag-report sa 1343 Actionline against Human Trafficking page at 1343 Actionline website (https://report.1343actionline.ph).

NEWS: PBBM assistance reaches farmers, low-income families in Antique

Thousands of farmers and low-income families in Antique continue to benefit from the social protection and economic assistance programs of the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., providing much-needed relief amid rising production costs and economic challenges.

In his recent State of the Nation Address (SONA), President Marcos highlighted the government’s continuing assistance to vulnerable sectors, particularly those affected by the impact of the conflict in the Middle East and the resulting increase in fuel prices.

“Nagbigay din tayo ng suporta sa halos dalawang milyong magsasaka at mangingisda sa kasagsagan ng mataas na presyo ng langis, sa ilalim ng Presidential Assistance to Farmers, Fisherfolk, and Families o ‘yung tinatawag na PAFFF,” Marcos said.

In Antique, the national government has extended financial assistance through the PAFFF. A total of 40,722 farmers across the province are benefiting from ₱94.68 million in assistance.

FEATURE: ‘WiFi for All’ brings hope, opportunities to Antique’s last-mile communities

For many years, internet connectivity remained a distant dream for residents of Antique’s geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas (GIDAs). Students climbed hills in search of a signal to complete school requirements, disaster responders struggled to transmit emergency reports, and families traveled long distances just to access online government services.

Today, that reality is gradually changing.

Through the Department of Information and Communications Technology's (DICT) Free WiFi for All Program, thousands of Antiqueños living in remote communities are now gaining access to free and reliable internet, opening new opportunities for learning, public service, disaster preparedness, and economic growth.

The initiative supports the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to prioritize digital connectivity in Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDAs), public schools, government institutions, and underserved communities as part of the administration's digital transformation agenda.

NEWS; NFA pledges steady supply of P20/kg rice for BBM program in Antique

The National Food Authority (NFA) in Antique has assured the public of its continued support for the Benteng Bigas Meron Na (BBM) program by maintaining sufficient rice buffer stocks for procurement and distribution by the Food Terminal Incorporated (FTI).

The program supports President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to stabilize rice prices and improve food affordability by providing quality rice at ₱20 per kilogram to qualified beneficiaries.

NFA remains FTI’s partner in distributing the subsidized rice to priority sectors, including farmers, fisherfolk, solo parents, persons with disabilities (PWDs), senior citizens, drivers, beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), and other vulnerable groups in the province.
