The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), through its ICT Literacy and Competency Development Program, in collaboration with the University of Antique and the DEPED – Schools Division Office of Antique, successfully conducted the 3-day Batch 1 Level 2 training on “Robotics with Arduino Programming – RoboEd: Empowering the STEM Educators of Antique.”
The training gathered STEM educators from the Schools Division of Antique to enhance their knowledge and skills in basic robotics and Arduino programming. Through hands-on activities, demonstrations, and practical applications, participants explored the fundamentals of robotics technology and its integration into classroom instruction.
This initiative aims to strengthen digital competencies among educators and promote innovative, technology-driven learning experiences that will inspire students and support the advancement of STEM education in the province.

DICT Antique joined the CCIS Research Colloquium 2026 held at the University of Antique, where graduating students from the College of Computing and Information Sciences (CCIS) showcased and presented their final research outputs. The event provided a platform for students to share innovative ideas, demonstrate their research findings, and highlight technology-driven solutions developed through their academic journey. Participating on behalf of DICT Antique was Ms. Eliza Mae B. Melocotones, Provincial Focal Person of the ICT Literacy and Competency Development Program.

Bringing digital connectivity closer to communities, the Department of Information and Communications Technology successfully conducted site acceptance activities for the Free Wi Fi for All Program in the Municipality of Pandan, Antique.

This milestone supports the continuing effort to provide reliable internet access, especially in areas where connectivity has long been limited. With these sites now operational, residents, students, and local communities can gain better access to online learning, digital government services, communication platforms, and important information that can help improve everyday life.

The Free Wi Fi service is now active in the following locations:
