PH is a scam country. That is why even the government do not trust its citizens that all signatures must be notarized for all government purposes and identification submitted must contain three original signatures to be acceptable.

A recent study found that Filipinos encounter scam attempts nearly every two days on average, highlighting the growing threat of online fraud.

According to data cited by Philstar, Filipino respondents reported an average of 239 scam encounters per year, with many losing thousands of pesos to fraud schemes.

Experts warn that scammers are increasingly using artificial intelligence, deepfake voices, fake websites, QR code scams, and highly personalized messages designed to imitate banks, government agencies, and trusted organizations.

The report also found that more than half of Filipinos surveyed said they had been scammed at least once in their lifetime.
