On June 1, 2026, the Regional Kick-off Ceremony of DepEd’s Brigada Eskwela 2026 was successfully held at Gabaldon Central School, Gabaldon, Nueva Ecija.
In strong convergence with DepEd, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) – Nueva Ecija Field Office actively supported this year’s Brigada Eskwela through the TUPAD Program. One hundred (100) TUPAD beneficiaries were deployed to provide much-needed manpower while earning temporary wage employment.
Since the implementation began on May 25, 2026, the TUPAD workers have accomplished significant improvements at the school, including:
Minor repairs of school roofs
Trimming and removal of tree branches and vegetation above roofing structures
Thorough cleaning and sanitation of school surroundings and premises
Placement of gravel on the school oval to improve its condition and usability
These efforts are part of a wider set of activities such as classroom cleaning, landscaping, beautification, and basic maintenance works — all aimed at creating a safer, cleaner, and more conducive learning environment for the upcoming school year.
This convergence highlights strong collaboration among government agencies in supporting quality education through bayanihan.
Together, we prepare better schools for our learners!
