πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ HAPPY PRIDE MONTH! πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ

The National Youth Commission joins the LGBTQIA+ community in celebrating Pride Month 2026 πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆπŸ’–

This month, we honor the courage to live authentically, the freedom to love openly, and the diversity that makes our communities stronger and more compassionate.

Together with the Filipino youth, let us continue building safe, inclusive, and empowering spaces where everyone is free to express who they are, free to love, and free from discrimination, prejudice, and hate.

Kasama ng kabataan ang pagsusulong ng pagkakapantay-pantay, paggalang sa karapatang pantao, at malayang pagmamahal para sa lahat. 🌈

Live with pride, kabataan! 🌟

| NYC GUIDES SAN JOSE CITY YOUTH IN CRAFTING 2026–2028 LOCAL YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PLAN

The Youth Development Office of San Jose City, Nueva Ecija, gathered young leaders and stakeholders for the β€œYouth Voices, Community Choices: Local Youth Development Planning Workshop” at the San Jose City Hall last May 14, 2026. The activity aimed to craft a comprehensive Local Youth Development Plan (LYDP) for 2026–2028, ensuring that youth voices are at the heart of community development.

City Population Officer Nathaniel O. Vergara opened the program by stressing the importance of youth participation in governance, urging attendees to actively contribute to shaping the city’s future, while Youth Development Officer Mae Zusette A. Mendoza facilitated the activity’s expectation setting, allowing participants to share their goals for the workshop.

The National Youth Commission (NYC), through its Pampanga Area Office, led the sessions and discussed the LYDP framework and its legal basis. The NYC highlighted the alignment of local initiatives with the Philippine Youth Development Plan (PYDP) and guided participants through identifying key issues, prioritizing development areas, and drafting strategies. The afternoon session featured the LYDP Crafting Workshop, where participants collaborated to identify key youth concerns and presented initial drafts of priority programs responsive to San Jose City’s youth.

With the event’s conclusion and Ms. Mendoza's words of gratitude to NYC, the workshop marked a significant step toward empowering young people to help shape inclusive, data-driven policies for their community. As the NYC ensures youth leaders align their local development initiatives with on-the-ground realities, they implement more effective planning and governance initiatives.
