PAHAYAG NG PAGLABAN SA KORAPSYON

Madiin at tahasang kinukondena ng CIBAC Party-List ang malawakang korapsyon sa bansa lalo na sa mga flood-control projects ng pamahaalan. Kami ay buong-pusong nakikiisa sa mga pagkilos upang panagutin ang mga opisyal na naglustay ng pondo sa mga ghost at substandard projects.

Taong 2023 pa lang, tumindig na tayo upang busisiin at labanan ang Php1 billion-a-day na pondo para sa flood control program. Kahit na tayo ay pinigilan sa ating pag-kwestyon noon, iginiit na natin noon pa lang na mali, hindi epektibo at maanomalya ang mga flood control projects na pinopondohan. Walang totoong masterplan ang gobyerno. Kung kaya inihain natin ang House Resolution 208 upang magkaroon ng comprehensive, interconnected, science-based and corruption-free national flood control master plan.

Katunayan, sinusuportahan natin ang pagbibigay ng zero-budget para sa flood control program sa taong 2026 upang wakasan ang mga oportunidad ng korapsyon habang bubuo pa ng masterplan ang pamahaalan.

Isinusulong din natin na tanggalin na, o kaya ay gawing line item, ang mga proyekto sa ilalim ng Unprogrammed Funds ng General Appropriations Act dahil ito ay nagiging pork barrel ng Executive Branch kung saan ipinapasok ang mga maanomalyang flood control projects nang hindi nalalaman ng Kongreso at ng publiko.

We demand sincere and genuine reforms. We will not participate in the compromise of truth, just to display feel-good, skin-deep and sham accountability.

Only the Truth will set us free and we will tirelessly pursue it.

We call for authentic transparency and verifiable accountability, not political theatrics or social media falsehood and negativity.

Though we earned just one seat in the coming 20th Congress, we fully embrace the responsibility it carries.
