𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗴𝗲-𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗹𝘆 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝘂𝘇𝗼𝗻

The National Commission of Senior Citizens – Regional Office III (NCSC RO III) recently conducted courtesy visits to Pampanga State University (PampSU), Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST), and Central Luzon State University (CLSU) to advance strategic collaboration for senior citizens.

Led by Regional Director Emmanuel E. Daez, CESO IV, these engagements support the flagship initiative “Age-Friendly Central Luzon 2030,” which aims to make the region a model for active, productive, and dignified ageing.

With over one million senior citizens in Central Luzon, NCSC RO III is strengthening partnerships with the academe to promote innovative and evidence-based programs. Discussions with university officials—including PampSU President Dr. Enrique G. Baking, NEUST Vice President for Research Dr. Jean N. Guillasper, and CLSU President Dr. Evaristo A. Abella, focused on high-impact collaboration areas such as: research and data governance, digital inclusion, enhancement of Senior Citizens Centers, intergenerational programs like Apo Teach – Lolo/Lola Tech, health and wellness initiatives, agri-tourism, and livelihood development.

Through these partnerships, NCSC RO III remains steadfast in its commitment to create a future where every Filipino senior citizen lives with dignity, inclusion, and meaningful participation because building an age-friendly Central Luzon is a shared responsibility across generations.

𝐆𝐀𝐃 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩, 𝐈𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐨𝐬 𝐬𝐚 𝐍𝐂𝐒𝐂 𝐑𝐎 𝐈𝐈𝐈

Isinagawa noong ika-25 ng Marso 2026 ang isang makabuluhang Gender and Development (GAD) Workshop sa NCSC Regional Office III na dinaluhan ng mga kawani ng National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC). Layunin nitong palakasin ang kaalaman at kakayahan ng mga kalahok sa pagtukoy ng GAD issues at paggamit ng Gender Analysis Tools, kabilang ang Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines (HGDG), bilang batayan sa pagbalangkas ng Regional GAD Agenda at sa mas epektibong pagdidisenyo at pagpapatupad ng mga programa ng NCSC, gaya ng Expanded Centenarians Act.

Naging resource speaker si Daisy Tenerife, isang batikang GAD Focal Person mula sa Pampanga, na nagbahagi ng mahahalagang konsepto ng GAD Analysis bilang isang proseso upang matukoy ang gender issues at matiyak na ang mga programa ay tumutugon sa pangangailangan ng iba’t ibang sektor, kabilang ang mga senior citizens.

Sa kabuuan, naging matagumpay ang workshop at inaasahang magpapalakas sa kakayahan ng NCSC na magpatupad ng mas inklusibo, gender-responsive, at age-friendly na mga programa. Ito ay bahagi ng patuloy na pagsisikap ng ahensya na isulong ang pagkakapantay-pantay at makamit ang bisyon ng Age-Friendly Central Luzon by 2030.

Pampanga Honors 1,394 Senior Citizens with Cash Gifts Under Expanded Centenarian Act

City of San Fernando, Pampanga — March 9, 2026 — A total of 1,394 senior citizens in Pampanga were honored today with cash gifts in recognition of their longevity and contributions to society. The distribution took place at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center, with 100-year-old Lola Lucia Arcilla receiving her ₱100,000 cash gift from President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., in coordination with the National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) Region 3 and the Provincial Government of Pampanga.

Lola Lucia was among three centenarians who were awarded ₱100,000 each, while 1,391 senior citizens aged 80, 85, 90, and 95 received ₱10,000 each, bringing the total number of beneficiaries to 1,394. This initiative reflects the province’s commitment to honoring its senior citizens and ensuring that they are recognized and supported.

On behalf of Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, the distribution was overseen by NCSC Regional Director Emmanuel E. Daez, CESO IV, and Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Fe Manalang, ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of assistance.

The activity forms part of the first-quarter implementation of Republic Act No. 11982, or the Expanded Centenarian Act, which allows senior citizens to receive cash assistance prior to reaching 100 years of age. Under the law, senior citizens aged 80,85,90, and 95 may apply four to six months before their milestone birthdays to receive ₱10,000, while centenarians continue to receive ₱100,000 in recognition of their exceptional milestone.

Additionally, senior citizens aged 95 and above benefit from a ₱100,000 cash incentive provided by Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda and Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda through Ordinance No. 679.

To further facilitate access, the NCSC office has been relocated within the Pampanga Capitol, streamlining the submission of requirements and improving convenience for senior citizens throughout the province.

Senior citizens aged 80,85, 90, 95, and 100 are encouraged to visit the NCSC office at the Pampanga Capitol to apply for their cash assistance.

SAN FERNANDO, PAMPANGA — Patuloy ang serbisyo ng National Commission of Senior Citizens – Regional Office III sa pamamahagi ng cash gift ngayong 2026.

Matapos ang naunang pamamahagi ng cash gift sa apat na Aetang centenarians, inaasahang 8,512 senior citizens pa ang mababahagian mula Marso 3 hanggang Marso 16 sa pitong probinsya ng rehiyon.

Kabilang dito ang 7,209 octogenarians, 1,258 nonagenarians, at 45 centenarians. Kabuuang ₱89,170,000.00 ang pondong nakalaan para sa programang ito.

Masusi ang koordinasyon ng NCSC-RO III sa mga lokal na pamahalaan upang matiyak na lahat ng nasa opisyal na listahan ay mababayaran. Ang mga lokal na pamahalaan, sa pamamagitan ng Office for Senior Citizens’ Affairs (OSCA), ang nangangasiwa sa pagtanggap at pagproseso ng mga aplikasyon.

Alinsunod sa Republic Act No. 11982 o Expanded Centenarian Act of 2024, makatatanggap ng tig-₱10,000 ang mga octogenarian (edad 80 at 85) at nonagenarian (edad 90 at 95). Samantala, ₱100,000 naman ang matatanggap ng mga centenarian o mga senior citizen na umabot sa edad na 100.

Kasama rin sa mga tatanggap ang mga “late filer” mula Marso 17, 2024 hanggang Disyembre 31, 2024, gayundin ang mga nag-apply mula Enero hanggang Disyembre 2025.
