ANNOUNCEMENT:
LOGO and POSTER MAKING CONTEST MECHANICS:
The Logo Designing and Poster Making Contest is a competition that aims to promote the importance of appraisal and assessment of real property and payment of taxes. The competition will run for three (3) hours which includes the creation of the Digital Artwork and the Artist Statement of Originality — this is an explanation describes what inspired the artwork.

Software
Participants will be using Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Photoshop to design the poster and logo. A point will be deducted per judge will be imposed if the technical committee sees this violation.
Competition Proper – Rules and Guidelines
1. Participants must be in the venue 30 minutes before the competition proper.
2. From the start of the competition, participants are entitled 3 hours to design the logo and Poster. Teams are advised to constantly save their work in case of power interruption. Any entries not received after the allotted time is disqualified.
3. All entries submitted for the contest shall be considered as property of City Assessor Office of the City of San Fernando Pampanga and may be used by the organization. Likewise, winning entry may be used such as but not limited to publications, advertisements, exhibits and other printed or digital media.
4. All designs passed as entries will now become the property of the City Assessor Office.
5. No downloaded images can be integrated in the logo design since it should be all original. The use of stacked/library images or design is not allowed.
6. Participants are prohibited to use Internet connection.
7. Entries should be saved locally with the following folder format: Participant Initials No.8

8 Any violation of the Rules and Guidelines is subject to disqualification.
9 City Assessor Office shall have exclusive rights to the winning logo design. Organizers reserve the right to, if necessary, modifies the rules and/or proceedings of the competition, in order to rule out cheating, fraud, and etc. The committee has the right to take the necessary steps to monitor the events of the competition in their entirety, and actively rule out any attempts of cheating.

11 The theme for the competition will be “Just and Fair Real Property Appraisal and Assessment”.
12 The use of input devices other than a mouse is not allowed. The use of flash drive is strictly prohibited.
13 No downloaded images can be integrated in the artwork since it should be all original. Everything in the artwork should be from scratch. The use of stacked/library images of Adobe Photoshop is also not allowed.
14 There should only be two (2) applications running during the competition proper, namely Adobe Photoshop and Notepad. A participant caught running applications other than the allowed will be imposed with a one (1) point deduction per judge.
15 After the briefing/orientation of the competition, a one (1) point deduction per judge per 5 minutes will be imposed for late comers. Only a maximum of thirty (30) minutes is allowed for late comers, more than that time equates disqualification.
16 Preset of 200dpi, 10”x 8” (Landscape or Portrait orientation ) will be followed and there should be no names or distinguishing marks on the entry. Failure to follow the image specification of output image will be imposed with a five (5) point deduction per judge.
17 When done with the artwork, write the Report of Creativity using Notepad. Save the text with the following information:
Name initials_ParticipantNo.txt.
For example participant: John Lloyd Cruz – No. 5
Filename: JLC_5.txt
18 By 4:30PM all artworks and Report of Creativity must be done and saved. Evaluation by three (3) qualified judges will commence at this time.
19 A participant may be disqualified by the competition committee for any activity that jeopardizes the contest such as dislodging extension cords, unauthorized modification of contest materials, or distracting behavior.
20 Winners will be announced on the Awarding Ceremony.
21 Result once announced is final and irrevocable.
Criteria for Judging
The winners are determined by the judges’ votes. The judges’ vote is based on the following criteria:
Originality – 20%
Visual Appeal – 20%
Layout – 20%
Concept and Relevance – 40%
Total – 100%
