Councilor Kyle Marie Eufrosito Y. Nisce discussed the opportunity for the City of San Fernando to become an international cruise tourism destination through the arrival of the Le Solรฉal in September 2027. He highlighted how foreign visitors appreciated the cityโs traditional public market for its authenticity and cultural value, seeing it as a reflection of local life, trade, and heritage. Councilor Nisce emphasized the importance of preserving cultural identity in future market developments while viewing the opportunity as a way to boost tourism, local businesses, employment, and local products. He also suggested integrating ambulant vendors and local tour guides into tourism efforts to showcase the cityโs culture and identity. In closing, he encouraged the city to seize the opportunity to strengthen its identity as a historic center of trade, culture, and community while creating a lasting impression on international visitors.
